Pretty sure it's Android 6.0 but could be upgradable.

It was fast enough when 6 was the default so why wouldn't it be now?
Because of new updates on the apps requiring more power?
That's not an issue of operating system (although old OS get dropped), it's more the fact that old Android tablets have weaker specs.
I think it is more a case of memory bloat with Google Services updates.
This has 2GB, so should be OK, unlike the 1GB tablets normally sold at this price.
I wish I could find a current version of the 3+ Tab with Better CPU, More RAM, Storage and Latest Android. Love my Yoga Tab 3+, but it starting to feel a slow and stuck on 7.1.1
