i forgot to use shopback, anyone tried cancel and reorder?

  • Thanks just bought is anyone else coming from Amaysim who use optus. Im just worried it might have a problem going to same telco. Can i just port to telstra for a week then port to circles life sim.

  • +1

My Optus plan expires mid Dec, does anyone know if I can order this and initiate the port after my plan expires? Or does it initiate the port once I place my order?

    • I am in the same boat, went to buy online, it kept me asking my details for the porting purposes. I don’t want to port before I have a physical SIM card from them otherwise I will be without connectivity until I receive one. There is no store in my town, where I can just buy there sim. Can someone help me how can I get the offer before 14/11/2019 and still port my number once I get there SIM card. Thank you 🙏

      • +1

You can't port without a SIM card anyway. Just fill out the information. It won't be used until you have the SIM card in your hand.

    • +3

Sign up by 14 November 2019 (1pm, AEDT) and activate your SIM card by 31 December 2019.

    • +1

      Was in a similar situation.

Filled in all the details, and on the last page it says "You need to initiate the number transfer process after delivery". And just need to activate the sim by 31st December.

My contract runs out mid November with Telstra, so not a bad way to port out and be able to take advantage of the next amazing JB or Good Guys offer.

      • My situation and plan exactly

  • Can I choose when to port out from my current provider?

    • +1

Don't think you can 'schedule' a port but I would just activate immediately after your current plan ends. Porting can take up to 24 hours (business hours). In my experience, it has always taken less than 2 hours.

I would call their support and ask if you can schedule an activation.

      • Thanks mate

  • Is the $28 cashback valid for any plan with them? I want to get the $18/month plan

  • -6

Be careful with these guys. I got a 6c bill on the 4 month free promo offer.

    • +15

Whoa 6c, that must have hurt! Have you recovered yet, financially and emotionally?

    • I went over my data and for some reason, their system didn't tell me until I was $50 over, got in contact with them and they waived the fees.

Now you'd really have to be spiteful to ask a 6c refund.

  • Just wondering after the shopback order, how long after you get confirmation that cashback thing is successful? Because after placing my order I didn’t get anything from cashback, or in my account any transaction but my order went through circles life. No adblocks and I went through shopback site, thank you

    • +1

I got it in less than 1 minute from Shopback

      • I ordered through the Shopback app in-browser, nothing tracked yet.

        • Ops! I used Chrome on PC, logged into Shopback website and searched for Circles.Life on that site and followed the deal link from there.

    • been 24 hours still nothing from shopback

      • I just submitted a missing cash back claim shopback only tracked the activity not the purchase.

        • Damn waste of time is shopback I went through the link on shopback and made the purchase but shopback won't pay up **** them. My activity shows I visited circleslife I sent the invoice to shopback but they won't pay up I'm now cancellation the sim plan.

  • They run a CREDIT-CHECK on you.

But even with Bankruptcy, which I have, I still got a Circles.life service!

So they don't care, either way!

  • Would this work with number sharing? Currently with Optus and have an apple watch series 5, would like to know if my watch will work with this service? Im leaning towards no?

  • Yet to use the service but I'm pretty impressed so far with the delivery. I ordered this at 5:30pm yesterday and the sim arrived at 1.30pm today. You could even choose what time range you wanted the delivery to occur.

    • Same here, just activated and working well in my Huawei B315s router, I am really impressed!

  • It says you can sign up before Nov 13 but don't have to activate until the end of the year.

My contract ends on Dec 14.

I didn't see an option to sign up and not activate.

It just asks me for all my details to rollover and activate .
Has anyone done what I'm trying to do ( delay activation )

Did you have to call them?

    • After you have got the sim, you have manually click activate in my order

    • +1

After you order, they send an email with a link to activate/transfer your number. You only use that link once you have the sim and I'm sure that's what they mean when they say you don't have to activate until the end of the year. So once your contract is over you can activate the sim, as long as it's before the end of the year.

    • Just make sure you activate it within 28 days if you want the cashback.

  • Anyone tried to order 2?
I have ordered one for someone else but also looking a plan for myself as my current plan expire tomorrow

    • If it's not letting you put it in your name couldn't you just put in theirs?

  • I just received my Sim today. However,it can take up to two business days for my number to port over because I'm an Optus customer

    • so they began porting since you sign up?

      • +1

No,as soon as i got home and clicked the link to activate

        • ah okay so im gonna wait for my Optus prepaid to expire in 20 days to activate it haha. Before 31 Dec is okay so not wasting prepaid money haha

  • I'm sad because I didn't realise I needed something like the Boost 240GB deal until today but this is amazing but way too overkill but I'm still tempted by it. :(

  • Will VoLTE and VoWiFi work?

    • I asked them via chat yesterday.
      WiFi calling yes.
      Volte no.

  • So just to be pedantic to be sure, ordering online today counts as "signing up" to get the offer even if I don't get sim till afterwards or plan to activate it till late Dec?

  • Think they must have a lot of people to deal with, transfer is taking a lot more than 4 hours!

    • Im with Telstra, almost 20 hours later and its still not been switched over… was told it should take 2 hours max!

      • I'm awaiting delivery of Circles sim today to port from Telstra also.

      • It literally says if your porting from another company it can take up to 4 hours during port in hours. but i'm sure its switched by now :)

    • My transfer took 30min after continuing the applicaiton.

  • Does anyone know what happens when you don't pay your account in time?

How much leeway in days do you get before they disconnect your number?

  • Will I get the Shopback cash back if I use the referral code to get extra 20GB bonus data?

  • +1

My first 24 hours with the service so far:

Speed test's galore!! First 2 hours speeds were horrible. Could not reach over 20mbps. After that speeds were at normal optus level. Was reaching 100-400mbps in Sydney southern area. Highest i got was 485mbps download and 52.5mbps upload - https://www.speedtest.net/result/i/3545343237.

Calls sound fine (3G voice, not 4G) No voicemail service is provided but any message given after missed call period gets sent via text message and is displayed as an audio file.

Did not receive full 100GB as period is pro-rated until next month. Have not tested out Wifi-Calling yet.

So far happy with the service.

  • Successfully ported over.

    4G won't turn on.

Edit: Just checked the email and it says this

*It may take a few hours to get your data connection up and running, and you may experience trouble in receiving OTP from selected apps up to 36 hours after successful port-in

    • Has it started working yet?
I ported about 7 hours ago
      No data but can call

      • +1

Sounds silly but try take the sim out and put it back in while the phone is on.

Fixed my iPhone with previous providers as it got the new APN settings only when removing/inserting SIM.

        • Have it a try.
          Still no data.
          Voice and text works.

          • @adrian2093: Hm strange, iphone or android?

            • +1

              @apptrack: All good working now.
Took around 36 hours for 4g to work.

              So far so good.
They are probs getting smashed with this deal.

              • @adrian2093: 36 hours with no 4G???

I just activated today and it has been 6 hours with no 4G or 3G, only voice.

                • @gwang: ok, activated after 6 hours.

  • +1

Does your order email contains any info about the 80Gb bonus? I'm pretty sure I added the code but just in case. Cheers

  • +1

    I signed up earlier today.

Got a confirmation email straight away detailing the 20GB plan. Then later today got another email apologising for the mistake and mentioning the bonus 80GB

    • OK cool because I have the first email, but I only just signed up a few minutes ago.

      • +1

Yeah I got the 2nd email a few hours after

        • Oh seems like I got mine already.

  • +1

Can anyone please advise if this SIM card would work with a 4G router like TP Link's Archer MR200 to create a home WiFi network??
Thank you in advance for any replies

    • Yeah you can.

  • why always excess data clauses…just throttle me instead

  • Just activated mine today. So far so good.

  • +4

    this offer has been extended

    • Thanks, updated deal.

  • +1

So I Signed up for this and got the sim yesterday and activated straight away.

Then my internet hasn't been working and i've been trying to get through to them to fix it.. they could activate it in minutes but didn't get back to me about my ticket so just decided to wait for half an hour on the online chat to get through.. They are now escalating this to Optus and said they'll be in touch in the next 48 hours.

So far I'm not very impressed with their customer service. Sigh..

    • +2

Have you read the comments on here where they say it might take a few hours for 4G to fully kick in? Untill then you will be using 3G.

      • Yeah so I actually had no internet at all 12 hours after activation.. Read in some forum that resetting your APN to default, rather than updating, might 'unclog' it. Somehow that worked for me. Apparently that happens on Android phones..

    • Need to read the chat. Also restart the phone or re-insert the sim to get it activated for 4G service. Better yet, if you weren't with Optus network previous you may need to reset your network settings auto/manually to the correct configuration. But google will answer the rest if you haven't already been reading! goodluck!

    • Took awhile for my 4g to work.

I'm guessing they are getting so many new sign ups at the moment so there support and live chat would be getting a beating.

  • +1

They have extended the offer to 17th November 2019 to sign up.

    Just got the email.

  • +1

Sign up by 17 November 2019 (23:59, AEDT)

  • +1

Do you have to pay when you sign up?

    • Yes & No.
Valid credit card required that they remove money from temporarily.

Then remove full amount at end of month.

      • So they take your money $28 of you don't activate at the end of the month?

  • Sharing my review after using the sim as my home broadband for the past two months.

Download/upload is solid - can watch 4k netflix easy. Results: https://www.speedtest.net/result/8763803676.png

  • How long did the SIM take to be delivered? Also…when it arrived, was it in a small package or just an evelope? I had it delivered to my parcel locker….just wondering it there might be an issue if it's just in a normal letter envelope.

    • Comes as a letter. and the card details inside.

      • Hmmm maybe it was redirected to my home address. I should check my letter box

  • +2

So personal review in the last 24 hours of activation for all those who have asked.

Port details take UPTO 4 hours after completing the application.

When asked for port in details on application it DOES NOT port straight away. It's more a pending process for when you get your sim.

Depending on where you live it can take 1-5 business days. (got mine in 1 day South West Sydney)

I think people need to read the T&C when they sign up. 80% of answers are there haha.

But hey that's just me who had worked in telco for 8 years.

    Overall review:

    • AMAZING Deal for money easily.
    • Download speeds are always 50mpbs+ easily in majority of areas. Slower areas are 20-30mbps
    • Upload speeds in comparison however are so so but works great for a majority of things.
    • When downloading the app full amount of data will not show until after 24-48hours it will update (apparently i used 10GB in 10min but i have 100GB so meh)
    • 3G Voice Calls not 4G but majority of carriers do this anyway Voda/telstra etc. If issues at home turn on wifi-calling for better signal
    • First month pro rated. Nothing to pay upfront.

    Hope my review helped. +1!

    • Wait….. Wifi calling works with Circle?

      • Yep WiFi Calling is available. I've never used it so not sure how to check it cause I get good reception at home.

        • Sweet. Might be a good alternative for my mum. She's just moved to an area without proper cell reception, but has been able to get satalite NBN, so Wifi calling might be a mobile solution for her while she's home to still get calls.

Been with these guys since September: service just dropped out one day without warning - “sos only” (everywhere).
Took me all day to get through to customer service who were useless. 👋🏻

    • +1

And did it get fixed? What was the cause?

      • +1

No problem from my end, No fix from their end, just hoops to jump thru that go nowhere (Restart device, take out sim and put in another phone, … ): they don’t seem genuinely interested in finding what their problem is. Got disconnected again in the end and don’t have a free day to wait in a queue again…

  • Would like to know what apn people are using in their modems? I have a Huawei B525 unlocked modem.

  • +1

If i want to change from this to a prepaid sim at a later date, is it just a matter of switching an keeping existing number?

There have been other comments on the boost offers saying people on Telstra need to get telstra to swap to a prepaid sim first, then they can move to Boost so unsure what needs to be done for this plan

    • No.

They do not offer this; You cannot switch to "Prepaid" at any time, now or in the future.

Circles.life only have the 28 day billing option, via credit card billing. That is all.

      • I know circles dont have prepaid. Obviously with another provider.

Just wanted to know if i would have to switch to another provider on a post paid plan first before changing to prepaid, or if i am able to go straight from circles.life postpaid to say a boost prepaid

        • if i am able to go straight from circles.life postpaid to say a boost prepaid

          This.

  • I signed up on the 17th, no shopback tracking email as yet

    • Same here.

    • Same and ordered on 14th, I assumed it was because there hasn’t been an actual transaction yet and it only ‘tracks’ once they receive word from circles the first month’s payment has been made? But not sure

  • Some feedback - bought as I needed data to tether whilst on secondment in Port Macquarie.

Ordered on Wednesday, arrived on Monday, full tracking with AusPost. No problem tethering from my phone in the second SIM port.

Great speeds in Port Mac, 122 Mbps ddl.
Not as fast inner west ~ 50+ Mbps.
Pretty slow inner city ~6 Mbps.

  • Anyone else run into a similar issue:
Ported my number 2 days ago but can’t receive calls/text.
