Been looking at a smoker for a while. This one RRP in USA is usd$999 so aud$899 incl GST is pretty good. Other places selling for $1700.

A mate of mine bought it and all the BBQ stores couldn’t believe this price at Costco.
They literally asked him not to tell anyone because they’d be out of business and never sell that smoker again.
Edit: they are good but seem to chew through pellets like crazy
I was looking at the pit boss one from Bunnings for 699 but haven't seen a store with one open so can't compare.
Did you happen to notice if the vertical smoker 48880 was also in stock?
It was $779.99 earlier this year and I missed out on one :(I didn't see it sorry.
I think you will find that Louisania = Pit Boss or as to sellers + Costco or Bunnings.
Following the recent deal on Kamado Joe I saw the Costco offering and started doing some research. The results of my research not surprisingly was that not all Kamados are equal. The online comments for Louisiana kept me away and I am now going to wait for the next Kamado Joe deal.
How much do the kamados cost at Costco?
Louisiana Grills has better build quality than the Pit boss, even though the pit boss is really well built. Both are from the same company, Dansons. They are currently fighting a lawsuit from Traeger because the guy that founded Traeger was working with Dansons after he'd sold his company
Perfect for using on a total fire ban day
Yes if you want multiple firetrucks arriving at your house
This is a great deal, but consider waiting for the gravity fed masterbuilt charcoal smoker to hit our shores.
If it's all its cracked up to be, that would be the ultimate smoker and grill in one.
The small hopper on this unit is the main drawback, apart from that I'm sure it's great. The vertical pellet grill they were selling a little while ago looked awesome, kind of wish I jumped on that at the time.
I looked at one today Costco the hopper is a decent size hold heaps of pellets
I should have said small compared to other brands like GMG/Traeger etc. It would only be a drawback if you were wanting to do long overnight cooks and not have to get up to re-fill.
Wow, usd499 RRP for the gravity feed master built. Looks interesting. Cheaper to run than pellets too
I'm building a gravity feed at the moment. Will be very disappointed if this comes out here now 🙄
Looks like a good deal, but definitely worth shopping around and considering your options. Many better deals out there!
