I saw it in Melbourne last month with my mother, we were in the centre section 3rd row back from the stalls and these were excellent seats, if you can get seats towards the centre in this area you'll get a good view. Can't speak for other seats.
The show itself is excellent, I've seen it twice (once here and once on Broadway) and is rightly deserving of the great reviews it's getting.
The musical is meant to be about 5000 passengers who were stranded in some back water town in Newfoundland. I don't understand why they all chose to stay there instead of finding other ground transportation out of there? Gander NF is less than 3.5 hours from St. John's NF, a city with 10 times the population. Would someone really want to sleep on the floor of a gymnasium for 5 nights in Gander, because there is no accomodation, when they could just hire a car, or take a bus, to St. John's and stay in a nice comfy hotel room? Seems a bit contrived to me.
