Tech Fast has better build for the dollars than this.

Yes but this one has dell warranty and support. For newbies about desktop is a nice price. But I agree with you.

  • Limited quantities available, offer expires 1st November 2019

You can get Lenovo gaming laptop with gtx1650 graphics for about $850 after using code and cash back

That's not a comparable product really

        • Which has better performance?
          RX580 or GTX1650?

          • +2

            @FeedingTheSnail: easily 580, 1650 struggles against 570

@maybe a bot: Desktop cards always significantly outperform their laptop counterparts.

Usually by several times over, can't beat the heat dispersion in a desktop.

        • Which has better performance?
          i5-9300h or Ryzen 7 2700x

        • Also, and more importantly, one's a desktop and the other is a laptop ya goose!

I bought one of these refurbished ($1000) and ended up sending it back and getting a refund.

First up, let me say that for the spec I think this is a great price.

It ran well intially but then stopped loading all together. I spent hours on phone support and couldn't find any hardware issues. Eventually I had to reload windows. Once that was done, it still had random shutdowns and some games/software wouldn't work.

Dell support was good and they were going to come and repair but I asked for a refund and they obliged. There are often a lot of these spec 5676 refurbished and I cannot imagine too many have sold.

Looking online it seems others have had problems as well.

This is just my experience and maybe others have purchased and not had issues. At this price it's a great PC and maybe I was just unlucky.

    YMMV

We picked up the Acer tower desktop many years ago for around $599-$699 and it has been bullet-proof from day 1.
It has i7 processor and 2TB HDD, still works to this day with decent speed after 6-7 years.
A solid product, especially for less-experienced PC users who would prefer the convenience of getting the whole product replaced / refunded at the store if there is any fault.
I recommend Acer and we have recently purchased a modern All-in-one Acer PC recently with confidence.

    • Stick with Intel

Techfast has better builds and Dell doesn't like you changing components and has a shit case imo.

    • +2

The components in a pre-built Dell (especially the case) are going to be far better quality than those offered by TechFast.

  • Can anyone give me advice comparing with this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Inspiron-5680-Gaming-Deskto…

Are they all good for Minecraft and video editor (for youtuber).

Have been looking around for Christmas present for my son and myself.

    • the one you linked is better for gaming by 15-20% ish
this one is better for video editing, generally (depends on the task)
