No jokes about the riots please

Fake news media calls them protests.

    • "Yellow Objects"

    • what a snowflake.

As an mainland Chinese tourist, I suggest to avoid this bargain xD

    • -3

Hong Kong rioters will throw black paint on mainland tourist's face

last weekend, they broken the leg of a soccer trainer.

      • -1

Ahhh! Should have guessed you were a Mainlander optusprime! Completely explains your less civilised and distasteful point of views.

        • -1

          oh more harassment, nice

  • +1

Not really, there are travellers enjoying the quieter Hong Kong now, cheaper Hong Kong.
and Maybe some unique experience that you might never encountered XD

Hate it when site forces you to disable adblock

    • I'm one of them.

A great time for shoppers/bargain hunters. Picked up two Musicman guitars quite cheaply from Tom Lee at their 40% off sale. :D

      • Extra lugguage fee when you travel back?

  • +5

the rate the riots are happening, it'll be even cheaper soon

  • -5

yeah free hong kong, stand with hong kong, let's fly over and join the fight!

    • +4

Lol you might get into one at the airport when it is blockaded.

    • -1

      fight your own battles

  • I wonder if you travel SYD-HKG-SYD on the same day if they'll check your baggage in Sydney through to Sydney? Hmmm.

    • +1

I think this might invite an invasive body cavity search from Border Force. Just sayin…

      • Free cavity search. Hot summer weather. High chance of plans failing and the airline reneging on fixing the situation because it's a destination not a connection. Protests not covered by insurance. This deal just keeps getting better!

  • +1

Not a joke but I hope the riots escalate to bring the price down even more. Both flights and daily expense

  • What are ‘status runners’?

  • i would rather go to mainland china than Hong Kong for holiday. better people better place

    • +6

I've been to both and would prefer Hong Kong. The air is cleaner and less likely to be scammed.

      • +1

Well, China has less chance of mob lynching or drinking molotov cocktails if you don't watch what you say to the locals. HK air being clean is pretty subjective and like China, depends on where you are at (The backstreets still stink of sewage in most places).

        • +2

          Watch out for gutter oil

      • +3

Just don't bring Winnie the pooh to China if you go with kids! May end up in jail

        • Why is Winnie The Pooh Banned? Trump has many charactures of himself, dont see him banning them.

          China CCP is that insecure?

          • +3

@Turd: That's how China operates "Freedom". You need to watch South Park, there is one ep called "banned in China".

              • @Turd: Just imagine China can made the most well-known Chinese actress Fang Bing Bing disappeared for 4 months and suddenly return with an apology speech/message for her tax avoidance scandal, then you can tell why people in HK react so extreme this time.

          • @Turd: I guesd that Chinese people are so powerful so the gov would be kinda insecure.

    • +2

Mainland China stank and the air pollution was unbearable - very few highlights other than a few attractions. simply not worth it

  • Good price and it may stay like this for some time unfortunately/fortunately

  • Thailand——->? A: Manchester United
    Hong kong——>? A: Blackburn Rovers

  • Better mark this as expired, Virgin has just confirmed it will be canning this flight route
