I might be mistaken here, didn't Franklins go under along with Tuckerbag about 10-15 years back in Victoria? Have they recently come back in NSW?
Franklins is everywhere in NSW. I usually shop there rather than Woolies because it is quieter and has good specials.

Always pays to check the 'expiry' date on these larger packs of batteries. You might find some that expire in 2011/12, some in 2020. I have seen unused batteries leak, not energizer though, duracell. As some are in all probability be sitting around for a while, get the longest expiration date ones you can.
