6764

Update : I am getting THE Drone and many more ozb mates.

Thanks Bunnings for making all of us SUPER HAPPY

—————-

Shhhhh.. 🤫 …. Enjoy :)

Note : Check your PICKUP LOCATION or You may End up travelling to another state.

Or You can get it for $1999 @ JB Hi-Fi or HN if that is nearby ;-)

The Mavic 2 Zoom from DJI is a professional quality film making drone that gives you the ability to get closer to the action, thanks to its 2x 24-48mm optical zoom camera with a 1/2.3" 12MP sensor. With 4x lossless zoom (including 2x optical zoom) you can capture sensitive subjects from an even greater distance. There's even a single-tap aerial mode called Dolly Zoom that gives a Hitchcockian effect to your footage.

The Mavic 2 Zoom utilizes a low-drag aerodynamic body design for achieving speeds up to 47.7 mph, a four-cell LiPo battery for up to 31 minutes of flight time, and low-noise propellers for filming without being distracting. This power and performance are coupled with a variety of shooting modes and capabilities for cinematic results.

In order to help keep the Mavic 2 Zoom safe and in control, DJI has provided OcuSync 2.0 video transmission technology that can transmit a video feed to the included controller from up to 5 miles away in Full HD 1080p quality. There's also omnidirectional obstacle sensing that provides object avoidance with sensors on all sides of the Mavic 2 Zoom.

      • I ordered it before this deal got published

    • The only people receiving calls so far are the ones who placed an order over the phone.

I believe online orders will likely just receive an email cancellation.

      • Sure, no problem with that. Otherwise If possible I got my drone, I will let you know

    • Nah, she'll be right mate.

    • +3

lol this guy ^ thinks plebs can win against corporations

    • +5

You really gotta learn to suck it up and have a laugh. There was a 1% chance this was going to work out how you hoped it would.

    • +1

It's all in their special orders terms and conditions.

"We reserve the right to cancel any order (in full or part) where: (i) you are in breach of your payment obligations to Bunnings; (ii) Bunnings reasonably suspects that you are purchasing Goods for the purposes of resale or resupply; (iii) Bunnings becomes aware after order confirmation that the good is out of stock; or (iv) there has been a genuine pricing or product description error by Bunnings or its supplier. We will refund any amount already paid in respect of any cancelled order (and in the case of part cancellation of an order, we will refund the the amount paid that relates to the cancelled portion of the order)."

No leg to stand on mate.

    • +3

"The published price by law is their offer to sell you one. The sales contract is not valid by law until you accept their offer."

Wrong. You make the offer to purchase from them, they don't make the offer to you. All they're doing is establishing an invitation to treat.

      • First year contract law eh? Impressive. In this case, it was more like an invitation to fart.

        • +1

Not sure I understand the relevance of your comment.

          • -1

@fattymattyd: Don't bother engaging with trolls, they will beat you down with stupidity and then win with experience. I know it's nice to show you studied hard in law school , however :-)

    • +1

You are why we can't have nice things

    • Sounds like someone will be a budding star lawyer. Not.

    • +1

      Oh, it's YOU this time.

      There's always one.

  • The new Qantas debacle. Let's see how fast they do refunds..

    • what was the qantas debacle?

      • +1

Mac Pro really cheap. The cancelled all orders but gave everyone 2000 points

      • Also the more recent Sony A7iii camera + lens non-deal (for those who use the staff discount code).

        • Sony WF1000XM3 earphones
  • It will be amazing if we get our Drone, but I doubt that will ever happen.

  • +1

I also ordered one and I had the funds deducted but no confirmation email as the website malfunctioned during the transaction process. I called up Bunnings Customer Service and have been informed that it was a pricing error and the orders will not be honoured.

They will be refunding everybody who made a purchase, even if no confirmation email has been received.

  • +15

people getting angry over something they had 0% chance of getting can be quite entertaining.

    • +1

Yeah angry because some people order 4-10 and the potential lost profit.

  • This reminds me of that Chinese man wanting to buy a car with US$2. the dealer apparently missed "10k" as an unit. we all well know this is not going to happen but placed the order anyway, why? funny enough.

    • +1

the old man made the customer service rep cry though. wasnt funny at all.

      • +1

He thought it was his right as a bargainer to buy that car. Seen it too many times, ugly first world problems.

    • +1

      You mean this one?

      https://bit.ly/33BChvi

      • +4

I imagine this exact scene playing out in Bunnings stores across the country…. "here's my money, NOW GIVE ME MY DRONE….."

        • Lol I think solidice tried this from the comments above but was denied.

  • +1

Sorry, we can't find the page you're looking for.
Ozbargain broke Bunnings if not the internet

  • Just got the phone call that the order has been cancelled due to pricing error under the instructions from Bunnings Head Office and to pick my refund money from the store.

    • pick my refund money from the store.

Oooof. You did order online, right?

      • In-store and paid in cash.

        You have 2 choices:
Pick your money in-store or they will transfer your money to your credit card

        • OK then if you actually went in and they cancelled yours then its over lol. Good hunting lads

          • @cacique: Yes the chances of anyone of us getting this deal is 0%

        • Ah, that’s much better. No need to wait days for a refund.

          👍🏼

  • Viral marketing for Bunnings at it's finest lol

    • Yeah, because there's no better marketing strategy than pissing off a bunch of people…

  • +6

There's always one person that gets really pissy and cites the ins and outs of the law when these deals happen, as if this is the first time a price error has ever showed up on OzB.

Just chill out and hopefully you get the credit note we've all been waiting for.

    • +1

You have to understand maybe that person is currently suffering from painful haemorrhoid.

  • Cons of living in WA. Not on Ozb early enough to get these deals.. :(

    • +5

lucky for you, its not a deal

    • +1

Haha, I know the feeling normally, but I caught this and I'm $298 poorer for probably 3-5 business days - consider yourself lucky :P

  • +3

now everyone call up A Current Afair so we can vent righteous igdignation again !!!

    • +2

ACA? People still watch that regularly?

      • Nah they barely have any impact, those days are gone. They’ve exposed plenty of stuff lately but no one cares

  • Anyone still didn't get an order confirmation email even though CC was charged?

    • +3

Yeah still no receipt, email or call. Just the cc charge.

    • Same

    • My CC was charged twice, no invoice or order confirmation yet

    • check you order history. At least there is an order number.

  • +9

Maybe… just maybe, this was all a sophisticated ploy to spread wider knowledge of Bunnings' online store/ordering and the expansion of their product offering.

    i.e…
    https://www.news.com.au/finance/business/retail/bunnings-wil…

I do however like conspiracy theories.

    • +1

Nah, it's a waste of time and effort. Just have good / true bargain deals and get them listed on OZB….

We don't really care that much about which online marketplace provides the deal. If Harvey Norman came up with an unreal deal, we will temporary forgive HVN for introducing the Harvey GST on overseas items (sorry, but I did buy from HVN after the Harvey GST is introduced). The fact that so many of OZBers just went for this deal (let's face it, 99.99% of us knew it is a pricing error and there is at best 1% chance of actually getting it) is a good proof.

  • +16

30 000 clicks and site didnt fall over…not bad bunnings…not bad…free cybermonday testing

  • +1

They should be force to honour the first 10 order I reckon else what stop business from put up bullshit price collecting people information and data and
turn around and said it was a pricing error?

    • +3

We already have laws to deal with this sort of thing (prohibition on misleading and deceptive conduct).

Your idea would probably send dozens of small businesses bankrupt. E.g. a $5,000 product gets advertised at $5 by mistake, small business forced to stump up $50k worth of stock for $50.

  • +5

This is just like the HP Omen saga all over again.

    • …This is just like the Amazon clocks saga all over again.

      • +1

This is just like the Qantas FF Sony A7 III saga again…

        • +1

This is just like the Jeans West gift cards saga all over again.

  • +2

Took my money and no email, phone call or receipt.

    • +1

Swiss bank account now. 6-8 week return policy

    • Same here :(

  • +9

Finally a breath of fresh air… got the confirmation at about 8am and now a shipping notice - did I get lucky?

    • Wow a shipping notice is pretty good

    • +1

I've got an invoice number, order number, barcode.. nothing to suggest it's been cancelled

      • what time did you guys order though

    • Wow did you choose delivery?

    • +1

Now the night king can peak what’s on the other side of wall without the need to hunt for a dragon.

    • Wow, please confirm back here if you do in fact receive the product.

    • i bought at 6h50 Brissy time and havent received anything yet :(

    • Wish many more get lucky like you!

  • Not sure if this is relevant, but this pricing error surely have gotten them the kind of visits to support their online retail strategy.

    https://www.news.com.au/finance/business/retail/major-turnin…

    • +6

If that is the case, I have decided to never step foot into a bunnings again.

That is until I need something at bunnings…

  • +22

    I want my elephant

  • -1

How legal is it to cancel orders because of pricing errors? Usually they honour those when in store.
If they lie about it being out of stock, thats just even more dodgy?

    • …online retail errors are seldom honoured….especially when theyre $1500 errors

    • Until they have accepted they can cancel no problem, you're paying isn't them accepting and most confirmations that companies send out are just confirmations that they got your offer to purchase and not that they have accepted it.

    • +1

      It's all in the T's & C's for special orders…

We reserve the right to cancel any order (in full or part) where: (i) you are in breach of your payment obligations to Bunnings; (ii) Bunnings reasonably suspects that you are purchasing Goods for the purposes of resale or resupply; (iii) Bunnings becomes aware after order confirmation that the good is out of stock; or (iv) there has been a genuine pricing or product description error by Bunnings or its supplier. We will refund any amount already paid in respect of any cancelled order (and in the case of part cancellation of an order, we will refund the the amount paid that relates to the cancelled portion of the order).

    • It is legal to cancel if the price is a mistake. There are a whole line of cases like this (called 'snapping up' cases). See e.g. This Singaporean case which has been applied in Australia: https://www.lawteacher.net/cases/chwee-kin-keong-v-digilandm…

  • +7

my local bunnings calling me but i'm not picking up…i dont want any bad news

    • they will send you a text message and explain about it

  • +11

Barely know what a drone is let alone how to fly one. I absolutely tried to buy one though

  • Will there be any difference between People who received an email about the order vs people who didn't receive the email yet? Same outcome in both cases?

    • Exactly my question.

    • Yes, about a day or more difference to get full refund

      • Finally some good news for those who received the email. My store confirmed that they will honour it.

        • +1

Proof or it never happened ;)

          • @KnownSystemError: It was a telephonic conversation. So not sure how to prove. Once I collect the goods, will share the pic

  • +2

Lol, just noticed my credit card was actually charged, despite everything catching on fire at the same time. Ah well, play silly games win silly prizes sometimes.

  • +31

….today everyone on ozbargain woke up realising they needed a professional drone.

    • +2

For a moment I was concerned that I wouldn't be the only annoying drone pilot in national parks
