Very highly reviewed mid-tier DJI drone, two 48MP cameras (one 3x tele and one wide-angle), recording is 4K/100fps without HDR and 4K/60 with.
One of two DJI drones with the O4 video transmission for great range (if your line of sight is really really good).
Advertised flight time per battery is 46 minutes but online reviews seem to suggest a smidge less.

Cheapest I've seen recently for the fly more combo with the RC 2 (Inbuilt screen).
Non-fly more combo with DJI RC-N2 is also cheaper than usual at $1298 if you can forgo the extra batteries and use a phone/tablet instead.

I have mini 4 pro, pretty sure it has 04 transmission

The comparison table (image 8) in this Amazon listing indicates O4 transmission for the Mini 4 Pro.

My bad, you're right. Maybe it was the first to have it / only one at release? I know most DJI drones don't

      • DJI Neo also uses O4 transmission as likely will any newer models.

  • What is the highest controllable flight altitude?

    • 500m software locked above wherever you launch it from - although the legal limit in Aus is 120m.
If you have a reason to go higher you can send a request to them to update your firmware through their site.

Distance is a different story, a range test got it to 10.5km and back on a single charge here although the transmission signal should last longer if you're not landing your drone where you took it off from.

Good price on a very versatile drone with great video quality, speed/stability, super nice battery life and a relatively stealthy sound signature. The 3x creates awesome parallax that makes it useful even close to the ground. It’s a big boy though so if you’re after the sort of drone you can pack into a camera bag and mostly forget it’s there til you need it, look at the mini 4 Pro. If you’re lucky enough to also have an Avata 2, it’s awesome being able to use the goggles to fly the Air 3, though a slight bummer you can’t use the 3x lens with the goggles. Also consider the Air 3 is probably going to get deeper discounts soon with an Air 3S (or 4) getting fast tracked to beat a potential US ban on DJI.
