Mechpro 7HP 3100psi Petrol Pressure Washer - $249 (Was $519) online only @ Repco

440

Thanks to BrokeMalone and his comment. With his blessing, I thought this deal should be its own post.

I've been looking for a decent petrol pressure washer for a long time. Currently I have a good electric one, but they just don't have the power of petrol ones and I end up going to the self serve car washes a lot for a quick spray.
All of the ones this size is over $500 and only small engine ones are $300ish.

Specs:
Max Pressure: 3100PSI
Max Flow Rate:9.5L/min
8M Braided high pressure hose
Weigh: 30.1kg 4L Built in detergent tank
4 x Rubber engine mounts
3.6L Fuel tank
212cc OHV 4 Stroke engine

This is a great deal for the size and power. I almost feel like it's a pricing error, so jump on it quick of you're in the market for one or planning to be.
I ordered and picked one up today with no issues. And there seems to be stock around.

Enjoy!

      • hahahaha clean baby with hose. Lol

    • haha good to know I wasn't the only one.
And it's sad the price made it even more believable.

Simiar to this one @$459 for the sake of cost comparison.

    • This one claims 8HP with a smaller displacement engine (208cc vs Mechpro's 212cc), higher pressure (4300psi max, 3200psi continuous vs 3100psi), higher flow rate (11L/min vs 9.5) and a longer hose (20m vs 8m) for $340 + Del.

      • Same same, but a little bit different.

How long is a piece of string?

        it depends

        • False.
Answer is twice half itโ€™s length.

    • +6

My one has been sitting in the shed with a full tank for about 6 months. So I have reason to believe that 3.6L of fuel lasts a minimum period of 6 months. /s

      • Lol. I mean do they chew through fuel ( Ie need to fill very regularly) or would I get a full days work out of it.

price is different in store $389, had to do it online but it took less than 5 mins to have it processed in store.

  • Can the pressure be varied. Sounds too powerful to wash car bodies. I have protective coating on the paint so all I do is use my Gerni to soap and then pressure wash the car then wipe it down,Easy peasy but that is because it is not very powerful so no chance of stripping paint

    • Yea, it has a throttle control so you can choose how much it outputs.

I have a cheap and basic GMC pressure washer from 10 plus years ago, and I would not recommend using it on a car. Maybe you can get away with it on metal painted parts but the plastic bumpers ended up with small spots all over the place, I believe because the plastic is soft and so the paint layer bends too much. Maybe OK for washing a truck or caravan but if you have issues with even basic pressure washers do not take the risk of damaging your 2k paint job on your new car because you were too lazy to wash. Also you can have trouble with rubbers seals if you use too much pressure and either prematurely wear them or just end up with water in your car

Could be good for getting oil off concrete or degraffiting a wall though, and good deal for what it is.

  • Assembly required or arrived assembled?

How long is the warranty? Can't see it on the web site.

    • Some assembly of frame and wheels I'd assume.

Would expect 12 months warranty bit ACL expectations would exceed that.

Repco's video clip claims 1 year warranty and is perfect for cleaning:

        • Pathways, Driveways, Patios, House Facades
        • Cars, 4WD's, Trailers, Motorbikes, Boats, Caravans

        Washer in operation

  • Thanks, I got one. Will be picking it up in the morning.

3100psi? that's fit to strip rust and paint alike. what is it used for?

    • Good for cleaning concrete floors, cars, boats etc

My main use is to keep the car clean along with a foam gun. I currently take the car to the self serve car washes and spray it regularly, saves me from doing a bucket and sponge wash.

      • Do you know what type of foam gun can be used with this?

        • +1

One with a 1/4 inch quick connect attachment will work. The ones on eBay are good.

used it this arvo, i thought its pretty much the same power with the gerni 135.3 from supercheap.

one downside is, its too noisy, much louder than a lanwmower.

  • My order was cancelled

    • how come? I picked mine up no problem
