It's $15 @ Kmart, may ask them to price match

Similar wifi light bulbs @ Officeworks for $14 as well :)

  • I managed to pick up 3 of the colour bayonet variants from Coles at $1. These seem to work quite well.
Wish the 'dimming' would dim much more than what it does. Its not like a normal bulb on a dimmer switch that can dim all the way to off.

Appreciate that these connect via wifi which can be an issue if you have too many items connecting in this fashion.
Q: Can they be connected to a bridge? example a Philips Hue Bridge.
My Telstra 4G Advanced (Netgear 782s) only allows 10 connections.

    • Some bridges, e.g. Smartthings/Hubitat allow you to add Wifi devices like these and use them in more advanced automations. You're not really solving the "wifi congestion" issue though with that.

      • Ok, thanks for replying. Something to look into, as i also have 2 of the Aldi downlights. Perhaps change how we do internet and wifi etc at home

  • The updated Tuya works perfect on the Genio bulbs. Flashed some last night with the newer firmware.
