I'm not an expert but I thought at least for Ryzen 3000 most people suggest aiming for 3200mhz or better.
Most people appear to be unaware that this is faster, but only slightly, than using 2133Mhz.
The best performance increase I could find was 5% while using 7zip which is unnoticeable.
For Ryzen 3000 I would be aiming at 3600Mhz. Micron E-die chips can be overclocked easily.
It works on first gen Threadripper FWIW.
if your using a RX580 or GTX 1660ti then there is around 1% performance improvement going from DDR4 2400 to DDR4 3600 at 1080P
using a RTX 2080ti there's around a 15% improvement at 1080P
You've got to be kidding. Under $100 for a set of brand new modules?
If you are using Corsair on Ryzen, beware it might need some tuning to get it to work.
I bought Vengeance LPX and RGB Pro, both could get it to be stable on XMP. But once setting it manually with Ryzen DRAM calculator it all went smoothly.
Calling all RAM experts, what's the verdict for this on Ryzen?
