First signs of life for a 77" deal!
Yeah I'm hoping for a better deal at the end of the year.
PADDLE should be the better discount code for this one
It is!
The disparity between the 55" and the 65" is absurd… we were supposed to be benefiting from mass production of 65" panels by now.
No one's going to touch the 65" for less than $3000, especially in the context of no 120Hz BFI.
While it is a large price difference and not worth it to many, for some of us it's worthwhile.
It's crept up from something like 1.4x to 1.6x, despite the stated goal of LG to make the 65" panel the largest chunk of their supply.
Whether that's LG themselves, or local retailers making dumb purchasing decisions, eventually people have to vote with their wallets.
Not a dumb purchasing decision for everyone.
This is a TV that will last many years, so if someone would have upgraded to a 65 2 or 3 years later it makes more financial sense to get the 65 now.
@NobalaKoba: Without 120Hz BFI, this isn't the TV you want to be picking to use until MicroLED is mainstream (>3-5 years).
Hopefully next year's model finally rounds out the package offering and delivers these economies of scale for 65", which would make sense if they had to build more manufacturing plants.
Hell, if that's the timeline, the early panel runs will wind up in this device and prices will drop like a stone. Definitely wait a month or two on picking this up.
@jasswolf: Different people have different needs.
I already bought this TV, and I'm happy without BFI as BFI gives me a headache and eye strain.
I bought it with a year price protection so price dropping isn't a concern for me, and to me it's worth it at the current price without any further drops.
@NobalaKoba: Fair enough, though I'd argue that reason why BFI gives you a headache is because it's presently 60Hz in all TVs AFAIK.
Also it's a bit strange to argue about price sensitivity when it has virtually no effect on you…
Coupon code POLLEN20 is not working for me. Can anyone share an active coupon code for this deal.
Tried PADDLE?
Thanks for responding. I have tried both, got "This code can't be applied to your order" message.
I also had this issue but I signed out, cleared my cookies for ebay and then it worked when checking out as guest.
@dko: I created a new eBay account and it worked for me.
Thank you all.
Only the 55" is still available at the price the title advertises.
FYI OP, looks like Appliance Central has relisted the 55" C9. $2,420+postage with 20% off POUNCE20 code up to $500. For a price of $1,936+postage.
Edit: I have submitted a new deal entry for the 55". Long time OzBargainer, but first time poster.
Postage is coming up as $180 for me.
