$15 discount for making my address, phone number and name public? Shut up and take my money!

    https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2019/09/doord…

The breach took place on May 4, but DoorDash officials didn't learn of it until earlier this month when they noticed unusual activity involving an unnamed third-party service provider. That's what DoorDash says in post, which began: "We take the security of our community very seriously." Data obtained by the attacker could include names, email addresses, delivery addresses, order histories, phone numbers, and cryptographically hashed and salted passwords.

Also exposed were the last four digits of customers' payment cards and the last four digits of delivery workers' and merchants' bank accounts. Drivers license numbers for about 100,000 delivery workers were also accessed

  • Code doesn't work

  • Referee gets $15 off first delivery. Referrer gets $15 credit.

Explain to me how it's not better to use the referral and help someone out?

Just did that. Thanks to whoever Amanda M is.

  • Reviews are bad on the app store lol

  • what's doordash anyway?

  • Is this Vic only?

  • Piece of ***t app and service. Can't complete my first order using the app (cart goes back to selection of restaurant). I could use Google Pay on the app if working but on the website they want my credit card. Not gonna happen.
Nothing seems to be working and the email I sent to the support returned an automatic reply "We have changed", asking me to go the the forum and post my question.
    Useless app for now

  • i got this email today & was going to use it, 1.5 stars rating from Google plus all the comments here, nope, looks like Uber will be king when everyone realizes how sh*t Doordash is

  • "The code you're trying to redeem is not valid"!?

I didnt look at the reviews or see the comments here. i am an idiot. Just got burnt by awful customer service and an extremely late notification from someone that wouldnt provide a name or anything. 5-7 days for a refund. be cautious with how much your spending and the risk involved with using them.

    • what exactly happened, food delivered but really late or not delivered at all? i'd also be interested to know which outlet too…

      • +1

food was really late then magically canceled as DoorDash is having a feud with the restaurant (literally what they had said) Why was my order accepted & restaurant listed is beyond me! weird customer service who refused to provide a name when calling and was condescending and akin to a scripted robot.
My order history has been deleted too, as if it never happened? even trying to follow this up with customer service via desktop is impossible. people also had been complaining that promised refunds were not forthcoming so I'm concerned and disappointed I didnt research beforehand. 0/10 would not recommend.

woah thats dodgy af, was it overseas call centre or Aussie? you paid by credit card right? (i think thats all they accept from what i could see?) so then if they don't give your refund in about a month, then ring your card issuer/bank & go thru them for a refund. No need to worry, they usually side with the customer in these sort of situations.

          • +2

@iluvpizza: actually scrap that, just ring your card issuer/bank during the week to ask for refund. Explain to them Doordash have alot of complaints against them re not refunding so you would like them to act on your behalf to get the refund, they will probably see it on their system anyway. No point giving DD a chance to stuff you around & possibly make up bs so not to refund you.
