Wonder how much selling it takes? They stopped sending this to me at some point, then eventually started up again. I intend to list something most weekends, but usually never get around to it….so I maybe end up putting up a listing every few weeks.
On my secondary account, I've only sold about 15 items
I've sold over 100 and I still get this deal..
None on mine or my partners accounts.
I havent got this offer for like 6 months.
I got a backlog of items to sell and stuck doing 2 free gumtree listings per month and lucky if it sells.Does the 2 free listings from gumtree include no final value fees?
I asked gumtree support but they didn’t know and told me to ask eBay.The whole point of the gumtree listing is no final value fees :).
How much are PayPal fees now?
2.6% + $0.30 per transaction
Non refundable
So if you have to refund can you charge the buyer
@B-Man02: Nope….
@B-Man02: Just to clarify here, the $0.30c part is the non refundable part but the 2.6% is refunded to the seller if the buyer cancels the purchase
@Bargaingeek: The whole thing will be non-refundable soon
Thanks mate 👍
Is there a way to reduce the commission of ~11% on eBay?
Had something listed, not very happy with commission amount they are taking on top of that Paypal fee
check if you are eligible for this offer? This offer set the final listing fee @ $1.10 instead of the usual 11% commission.
I am not :/
Besides promotions like this one, you could open an eBay store. The fees are slightly lower but you have to pay a subscription free and it's only worth it if you sell a lot.
Prolly not for me
Open up another account. Buy some cheap stuff to get your rating up, then you'll probably get targeted with these types of offers.
The issue will be many would prefer to avoid new sellers.
Works on new account! Does the offer get applied only when if the sale is completed today?
+1 to this, definitely works. New accounts actually get the offer by default.
Final credit fee lasts as long as the item is for sale, regardless of promo period (buy it low = never expires).
Even if someone buys and pulls out, the relisted item also falls in the promo and ebay has refunded me fees.
It is indeed much harder to make money of eBay, all these discounts And coupons you see are largely Paid by the sellers as their commission keeps going up. Only way to reduce is via special offers like this one but they usually apply for a small period of time and have certain limitations like one item per listing or weekend only etc
Thanks
Thanks,clicked through and was targeted.
I’m not eligible, either. eBay prolly got annoyed at me for selling all my high-value electronic gear on these promotions and they’ve taken me off their ‘nice’ list.
Haven't been eligible for one of these for 6+months too, my selling backlog remains. So instead of $1.10 per sale eBay gets $0 from me now.
If you have other accounts that have no selling history, you might get this $1 selling offer. There's probably an introductory 10 item no final value fee offer too. Problem is when you try to use these accounts to sell, buyers tend to avoid buying cos you have low feedback and they can't use any discount codes on your items.
I found they cant use any codes on my old account anyway. I have listed items and logged into another account and can use codes on other peoples items but not mine. and its about 10 years old with about 400+ feedback mainly buying.
With paypal being easy to get a refund if your scammed I have found I still sell a reasonable amount on newer accounts. more than not having anything listed.
Remember not everyone thinks how you do. I had 2 of the same item listed for sale (had multiple to sell) on the same account and they bought the more expensive one.
so I added another listing at the higher price again with the same picture and sold the higher one again……and again….. I never ended up selling the lower priced one.also im sure half the people don't understand how to use discount codes anyway or don't wait for them.
I sold too much stuff on my both my primary and secondary account that I'm no longer targeted with this offer
