Note this is the updated HERO version of the g703.
Great mouse, I've used the g703 for about a year and am only shopping for a new one because my dog just chewed mine up.
Next cheapest on staticice is $149

at this price I would get something like this G903 for $124 with code PSRUNG
I'd advice anyone looking to buy the G903 to try it out first before buying though, it feels weird to hold in my hand.
I got the HERO price matched with the previous gen for $99 :P
Where at?
I wont give away the exact store but it was at Bing Lee in Sydney. I price matched with one listed at umart for $99.
What’s the difference between normal and HERO?
Weighs less
Almost double the battery Life
Better Sensor
One wears a cape and the other doesn't.
More seriously though, it appears the hero variant has a more accurate sensor with next-gen precision. Logitech's words, not mine.
ohm… the difference is… $50+ more?
On a more serious note, double battery in a lighter package is already a major feat, and improvement to an already crazy good sensor is impressive. But yeah $50+ more… Once my G703 die, I'll be getting this one solely for the double battery run time.
Given how easy it is to charge a mouse overnight and the fact that the “old” sensors were already amazing, it’s just marketing.
True, if anyone ask me for advice, I'll recommend the normal G703 without hesitation.
It'll still be nice to have both my keyboard (Corsair K63 wireless) and mouse batteries last about the same. Currently my keyboard runtime is roughly 50h, mouse 25h. So yeah, would be nice to have things in sync…
Great sensor, great mouse. Lightspeed works fantastically & has a long battery life.
It's got really nice feeling material for its side grips and an island in between the left and right mouse click buttons that really suits my semi-claw style grip.
It's a bit heavy for competitive FPS though so I use mine at work but I probably prefer its shape to the GPW I use at home slightly (fairly large hands so YMMV).
Damn, your dog knows how to choose his chew toy.
