Not so much a duplicate but looks like the same deal as:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/483418

    • +1

Not really, this is 2 years, that is 12 months. The good guys deal is better

    • +6

I know it looks the same every year, but it's actually a new phone - not a duplicate.

  • +2

Is it only for Telstra porting? I was interested in Optus

    • I wanna port out of Optus for an 11 pro max model.

      • +1

        $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

      • +1

After you got iphone 11, you can exchange any phone in another JB store.

  • wasn't that not limit to iphone… you cant join the $65/m plan and get $500 back ?

    • That was a two day offer that’s now expired, this is more limiting, but available

      • +1

What abut the deals on the JB site?
        $65 a month 24 months and $500 off

        • They are easier to obtain, but since they are 24 months you are effectively halving the credit. Although there are loopholes to get around it, they are not guaranteed to work.

  • +7

    Terrible 2 years deal.

    • That’s why they give you “half price” of a new iPhone 11 and earn it back by locking you in…

    • Yep, TGG’s offer is better only 12-months and a gift card. No doubt there’ll be another $500 GC next year to port in port out (for those inclined to do so)

  • +1

I think you're double dipping with the $500 off

    I would check your math.

  • So no stores trying to clear out the XS or series 4 watch yet?

    • I know harvey Norman is clearing their XS cases.

    • Why would anyone be 'clearing' out those products? They were only released a year ago.

      • +1

Apple officially phased out XS and replaced by iPhone 11 Pro. Hence why clearance.

    • Officeworks is having a clearance on the XS and MAX . The 64gb is now $1450 and the MAX $1600

  • what about pro max

    • Upfront payment of $1600.

  • +2

    how is this a bargain??

Other nice think is have a amazing "new" phone with new camera which just 64 gb. Even if you are not on social media you will probably need I loud to store your pics so add some dollars per month if in 2019 you make the mistake of buying a high end phone with just 64gb. Good luck

    • +4

I struggled to finish your comment. 😥

    • -1

Just to point out those people who’s already subscribed to iCloud and have heaps of space, can just turn on iCloud Photo Library in their settings and that will dramatically reduce the storage on the phone as it’s all in the cloud. For those who like me, hasn’t, we either should think into the cloud storage and equip ourselves for the future rather than having local storage and relying on manual backups.

Just saying apps are the usually the second culprit to take up space in your phone. Photos and videos are the top culprits in this IMO.

      • +1

Guessing you don't go on holiday

    • -4

Correction, "if you make the mistake of buying an iPhone"

    • +3

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

      • "Well, I could think of three things I'd like to do. One would involve some ice cubes and a nine iron. Two would involve a buffalo, live or stuffed, preferably stuffed for safety sake, and three, we bring back some of those ice cubes and switch it over to a pitching wedge."

      • -1

Sooo everyone has lost some hearing?

  • +3

No this is 12 months not 24! Idk how the post change . Sorry second post not sure how to post yet.

    But def 12 months.

    • I think your JB Hi-Fi is the same as TGG 12 months deal. Since the mod can only find the 24 month deal on their website, and updated your deal to 24 months.

You can change it back to 12 month deal.

Telstra in Sydney is crap. I have huge regrets porting last year, data always stops working especially at central station.

    • Also in Wynyard station

    • +2

This is literally every ISP including Optus and Voda

      • +1

No, Vodafone wasn’t like this last year, I’m going back to them, also the $5 international roaming is a godsend

        • +1

Well I have Vodafone right now and its like that so have fun lol

        • +2

I am with Vodafone and pretty much unusable all on the North Shore Line, drops out on the bridge, Wynyard, Townhall and central.
must be something with the construction, it never used to happen.
          Tried a different handset.
But lets just say, will be getting off VodaPhone once the current plan expires, a huge mistake.

        • Are you paid from Vodafone?

  • +1

I signed up for an iPhone 11 at JB HIFI this afternoon but it was only a 12 month contract with 60gb per month This was at Frankston homemaker JB HiFI

    • +1

What was the total cost molly72?

      • +2

$699 upfront, contract $780, total $1479. Not bad when handset retail is $1199

        • +1

Get on to Telstra live chat and ask for the $10 a month credit.

          • @Fatboy74: Is the port in credit still available?

            • @bleatz: I had some luck last week asking for it via the live help chat. It took me 2 goes but it was applied to the JB $65 12 month promo for me.
I'm not sure if it is still available, but it would be worth trying.

              • @Fatboy74: Would you please link me up to this $10 credit thing you mentioned? How would you get the Telstra chat to credit you? Thanks!

              • @Fatboy74: What were the exact words you used on chat to get this? Its tricky to get it approved.

                • @xavierod: I tried five times and couldn’t get it so gave up. I signed up for this deal two saturdays ago.

    • Yes that's what it was. Title changed it auto. Was it a black or white choice only?

  • -3

It's a no from me, no oled screen which the pro has.

  • +1

TGG offers 12months only, much better

    • Interesting , same corporation different baits .

  • Shows $400 gift card if you go for 12 months not $500

    • +3

It’s in 5 days. Read the post next time?

  • Damn, this would be a great deal for me, but I'm after the 128GB version.

    • +11

      Buy 2?

      • Gave you an upvote for that haha

    • +3

Actually just realised if I buy the phone at full price and continue with my $30 a month pre-paid deal (which is all I need data-wise), I'm essentially going to pay the same amount over 12 months!

  • +1

How long do we need to wait after porting out?

    • Also want to know. A few people have said they were able to port out for just 24 hours before getting this deal. I ported our last week so hoping two weeks is okay.

      • I remember seeing someone on here porting out then going straight into the jbhifi store and porting in.

I think it’s purely based on which customer service person you get.
Just depends if they check or not.

    • Shouldn't it be the same as all the mobile phone deals (i.e. if your number is with another telco at the time you sign up/ activate/ etc?

  • Did I miss something? It says 24 months in the link, and the 12 months is for 400$ gift card

    • +1

It's 500 for black and white for launch this Friday

Usually 400 but it's 500 for black and white for port in 12 month 65

      • Right, thank you! Didn't see it in the linked image

        • It's cos the dude at jbhifi wasn't suppose to tell me lol

          • +3

@agalea101: JB HiFi Melbourne city store actually mentioned to me this afternoon the $500 will apply to all iPhone models this coming Friday.

I asked her twice and referred to this current promotion and she said this one is for preorders only but when Friday hits it will be all models.

            Let's hope they are right!

            • @Roadie999: Sorry should have been cleared..all models as in the iPhone 11 and 11 pro max versions!

              • @Roadie999: But not the 11 Pro?

                • +2

@Hargain Bunter: Can confirm this is on ANY iPhone, not just the new one. I have signed up at the Jb Hi Fi TGV in Sydney and they said they have about 40 in stock in total so need to get in quick!

edit: 40 of the new Iphones unsure of old iPhone models

                  • @veesbanh: Thanks mate! So it was a $500 discount with a 12 month contact?

                    • +1

@Hargain Bunter: Yes, $500 taken off as a gift card with a $65/m 12 month sim only plan (60gb data).

Your number has to complete porting before getting the discount too so had to wait around.

  • $500 gift card with 12 month contract was better deal.

    • +1

pretty sure once you have ported in you can go into the telstra 24/7 app and switch to month to month plan without talking to anyone

      • Yes but they might slug you with a early termination cost.

    • This post says 12 months tho. Just isn’t active yet.

  • Do you get a receipt with this for gst purposes?

    • +1

Err it's with jbhifi so yes 😅

  • +1

This doesn't work if you are on Boost does it?

  • Has anyone been able to confirm this to work on the other iPhone 11 colours?

    • +3

Just got an email from JB HI-FI stating any iPhone and the plan is for 12 month

  • +1

Picked up an iPhone 11 128gb in Red for $779, thanks OP!

  • +2

Just picked up the pro 256

Oh the receipt it says $1999
    Then jbhifi gift card $500

So $1499. So if your going overseas you get to claim the full $1999

    Confirmed 12 months contract

    • Gonna help my gf to sign up this plan later

  • I'm currently a Telstra customer on a $59 Pixel 2 XL plan, due to end in March next year. Do you think I'll be able to use this offer or is it only for new Telstra customers?

    • It's for port in only

  • Any one able to port quickly or is it still taking along time?

    • Took two hours for me this morning. Just went and had a coffee and did some shopping.

  • Hey guys the link just takes to the mobile phones page of JB website. Is there any other sort of communication to go by for this? Or is it just hush hush thing? Curious…

  • +1

They have this deal displayed in store. I have seen it in few JB

  • Pretty much no stock Aus wide

    • literally no stock so we got jb to give us $400 gift card and minus $50 from the phone when its back in stock

      • Lucky they would t do that for me, said the system needed the imei to issue the gift card.

Managed to pop by in the afternoon and gott a 11 pro,but with 256. I only wanted to pony up for the 64gb. It was on hold but the chap
        Never showed up.
Anyway it was for the wife so she is happy.

        • My gf wanted the 11 pro 256gb space grey but no one in sydney has it so we will need to wait until its back in stock
