Hi all,

This isn't a dupe! I swear!

Just heard on YouTube that the second season of Cobra Kai is streaming free from September 11 via an ad. The only additional source I have is from LifeHacker:

The first of the announced free watching opportunities will be for Cobra Kai season one, which is YouTube’s sequel series to the Karate Kid films. From August 29 through September 11 (possibly a day later due to Australia being a bit ahead), all YouTube users will be able to stream the entire first season for free.
After that two week period, season one will return behind the YouTube Premium paywall and season two will be streamable for free, though only one episode will be added per week. So mark your calendars, folks.

          It’s a continuation of the original 1984 movie - I’m honestly surprised/impressed that they managed to get the old actors back

          It is a TV series which really only takes from the Original Karate Kid movie.
          It fast forwards like 20-30 years and gives a perspective from both characters.
          It takes on how life has progressed from the first movie and the events that occurred from it.

          Also gives a different perspective of Johnny's character and makes it seem like he was just a misunderstood kid.

          Its not bad overall, was quite nice to watch bit iffy with the fight scenes but enjoyable

      I poopoo'd S2 in the other post about S1 being free, but it ended up being very good. Don't get discouraged by the first half of S2.

    Season 2 gets a bit meh, but if you stick with it the payoff in the final episode is worth it.

    Thanks OP! I've seen season 1 but have been wanting to see Season 2 for ages!
    It does make me want to watch the original movie to match the "bully's" side of the story.

    Genuinely surprised how good S1 was considering YouTube have turned into the PC police lately. Also the whole concept of Karate Kid plus 20 years could have so easily appeared cheap and tacky but it was executed in a refreshing way.

    S2 was a bit cheesy, but overall it was good for a bit for nostalgia.

    I think the whole cast is great, especially the female cast =D. However, out of the whole show, Ralph Macchio (Daniel LaRusso) was surprisingly the most annoying character, even though he his the key and main character of the show.
