This is a must have Bluray set.

  • Is the £25 threshold (for free shipment) established prior to removal of VAT or does it need to be met after the deduction?

    • +3

prior to removal of VAT. My order came to £21.64 after VAT removal and I still qualified for free shipping.

  • Excellent series.
They also have "Life" at a good price.

  • How does this compare to The Hut/Zavvi's

    http://www.zavvi.com/blu-ray/band-of-brothers-2010-tin/10237…

both priced at £17.85 (with free delivery)

Does anyone know if the VAT gets removed for overseas deliveries for the above sites. I ask because I'm trying to find the cheapest price without having to reach the £25 Amazon threshold for free delivery.

No only amazon do that. With shipping comes to 17.84 so same.

      • In a competitive market one wonders why Zavvi don't remove VAT. Are they pocketing it as I imagine they have no obligation to pass it on?

        • +1

Probably evens out - as Zavvi/theHut give free WorldWide shipping without requiring a 25GBP threshold like Amazon do!

        • as Zavvi/theHut give free WorldWide shipping without requiring a 25GBP threshold like Amazon do!

They use the VAT they should refund to cover the extra international postage charge.

        • hence why i said it probably evens out - Zavvi/theHut pays postage on low cost items which Amazon will not (ie, under £25) in those cases Zavvi/theHut dont get to keep the VAT - the difference is paid by them as postage -

      • Ah ok thanks, I guess too good to be true :(

  • incredibly great series!
