when you can get a guaranteed seat in train

How do you guarantee a seat on the train?

Why spend double the time riding your car on congested roads

How will it be faster travelling on these congested roads to Point Cook on a bus? I wasn't aware that Point Cook now has dedicated bus lanes?

If I people choose this it means 7 cars are off the road

If u can’t appreciate the effort being put by this team , you can remain quiet

      • I thought they were reasonable questions put forward by @serpserpserp, seemingly in the spirit of curiosity rather than throwing shade on an altruistic endeavour.

      • Yeah but don't forget the estate is forever growing down there. One road in one road out pretty much.

Only getting worse, so hopefully the does help.

      Hi mate,

Good question. Based on community surveys, this service covers the blackspots of current Public transport routes and redirects traffic to Hoppers Crossing which is fairly less congested compared to Williams Landing and Aircraft stations near Point Cook.

If even 5 people use the service per trip, 5 cars are off the road and off the car park. Also, new residents in growing estates do not need to buy an old car just for parking near stations.

      • Can you answer my question on the guaranteed seat on the train? That is best bit of your sales spiel.

take 5 cars off the road and replace with a bus is still not a massive congestion buster with the one road in and out of Point Cook. I appreciate what you are doing here and hope people use the service. But make no mistake that if you have to go around and pick up a bunch of people on the route it could quite possibly be on par with driving after you take the parking at the station into account.

I guess paying $8 a day is probably a better than paying for parking though.

        • Hi,
Just for context, please let me know from which official Wynbus document you are getting "guaranteed seat on the train" from?
          Thanks

You wrote it in your description of the deal OP! Do you understand what you have written?

Maybe forgo the fancy new houses in the middle of nowhere and live in medium density housing in established suburbs

  • How can you sustain $2 and $4 trips? thats crazy pricings, especially when with the overheads???

    • Hi,

Wynbus has implemented a 6-week trial for 3 high demand routes and the data will be fed back to PTV so that PTV can assess and introduce or extend services and sustain long term.

Wynbus is a non-profit community transport project and has won in PickMyProject (Vic) and GovHack (Aus-wide).

      Thanks
