    • Compare to Woolies' price for similar

My Q: How long is cable?

      • 1.8m long but the plug is upside down because it's Chinese. Hence the cable will be coming out the top of the plug if you have a wall socket for it.

        • -2

It's a power board you can turn around

          • +1

@asa79: No, the cable for the actual power board. You can turn the power board around all you want but your wall socket faces one direction and is fixed.

            • -1

@Tacooo: So it's too hard too turn it around?

              • +1

@asa79: Are you purposely trolling or do you not understand. Your wall plate is fixed in place. The plug is fixed one way.

                • @Tacooo: I have 3 of them and no issues at all with the plug, so not sure what your on about

    Can't use with kettle - it doesn't support 10 A.

    • Why not?

      Specs show 2,500 W > 10 A x 240 v: "Rated Power Support UP To 2500W"

      …ie, if you believe it

      • I got two of these and none of them can work with kettles or portable heater (the $10 from kmart). The bigger version is ok .

    • -1

Most kettles aren't 2400W anyway. Average is 1800W or so. Even if it didn't support 10A (it does) you wouldn't need the whole 10A.

    • It does support 10A 2500W. I bought two $12 something one year ago.

  • Expensive.
3 socket? So just adding extra 2 only and usb ports are not fast enough.

    • Multi adapter sockets tho

Code not working for me. Best I can get is using PLUSAUG15 to bring it down to $63.90 for 3 of them

  • I find 2A is not enough nowadays.
also my missus often finds the powerboard trips when she turns on her hair dryer.
such a shame because I have about 5 of this at home but I think it needs an upgrade

  • Mine cuts out at around 1600W usage. Maybe just unlucky, but am reluctant to get another. Thankfully I only paid $10. And yes, it's a genuine one.

    • I got 2 the same can not even boil a kettle of water.

      • So not just me then?
For me, it cuts out using a 1600W Xiaomi hairdryer for over 5 minutes.

  • Seems like it's not much of a deal these have been cheaper for less quantity but if you're after 3 why not and added BONUS no adapter required!

If anyone visit China, go into at Mi shop, its always packed like an Apple Store during peak times, so many gadgets they have.

    • +1

Yeah love it. Was there last year during singles day 11/11

Not a bargain, expensive. $25 each is very expensive. Currently, street price is ~$17 delivered.

    • +1

3 for $50.16. How did you come up with $25 each?

      • how?

      • Title was previously (time of comment) 'Buy 2 get 1 Free'. $50/2 = $25. If not, then not 1 Free. Hence why Mod has corrected title.

        • +1

So you should then remove your negative vote?

  • I bought one of these years ago and have stopped using it…when I turn on/off the switch on the powerboard it arcs at the switch and it's not even drawing any load.

In addition from time to time, it started audibly buzzing a the switch. I don't want a house fire, so just stopped using it.

    • Maybe use it as a toaster …

  • Can use for US, Japanese and Chinese Small Applicances [sic].

So, for clarity, can this be used safely with Australian appliances?

    • Yes.

    • No, the plug pins are not insulated and not compliant with Australian standards.

    • Thank you both for clarifying that for me.

  • I use to plug in my yeelight lamps and lightstrips that arent au plugs

  • I'm surprised an Australian business is happy to risk selling non c-tick compliant boards.

I own a few, they are great quality, but they are not technically compliant and with that comes significant financial penalties (if selling within Australia).
