Similar set as Stanley brand is just $17.95 at bunnings https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-40-piece-screwdriver-set…

    • The Stanley set is awesome (I've had one for a few years) but it doesn't have any sockets in it though.

      • Tbh the metal tips are a bit soft and pointy (on some screws it's hard to engage the screw therefore get max torque)

Love the handles but the set is definitely so-so

Not to say it isn't great value or that this set is any better

        • I was about to ask this as I need some decent tips.

I've only ever had cheap tips that are way soft and I end up stripping the heads of screws.

@iShibby: If you want good screwdrivers get "Wiha" or" Wera"
I have these for precision work and these for the bigger screws.

            • @bogak: Thanks mate, it's the screwdriver bits I was after. I find my arm power is good enough for my screwdriver set. It's only when using an impact driver with these "bits" that I chew the head as they're made of super soft metal.

@iShibby: Oh then you need drill bits that are meant for impact. Have a browse at Bunnings and you'll notice ones that list they can be used on impact drills.

      • That's weird, I have a ~$20 Stanley set from Bunnings which looks exactly like that, but I am sure it has some sockets (quite similar to the ones in the OP).

        • Me too. See below. Not weird at all.

  • I grabbed the Stanley set when it was $10. It looks like it has been replaced by a set that doesn't include the sockets. Both versions were on display together marked at $17.95 but the one with the sockets scanned at $10. That was nearly a year ago so you probably won't find the $10 version any more.
