  • At 18v, I’d be concerned about the amount of grunt this thing has. Could get dangerous if you have to push to get it through things. Anyone used one? Looking to get something similar to chop up our massive palm fronds and tree trimmings for binning.

    • Appreciate if anyone has knowledge/could provide feedback/address this too

      • I have the 18" pole trimmer and it often gets stuck in pretty small bits of wood.

I've had one for about 6 years and absolutely love it. I bought it to use on extended travels, and for cutting up firewood it works a treat. Doesn't spin that fast, but heaps of torque. Rarely does it jam, and haven't changed the chain since new. I think because it doesn't spin very fast means the teeth don;t get worn quickly. Doesn't seem to chew batteries too quickly either. Highly recommended.

I've recently replaced it with the brushless version which spins heaps quicker - might want to go with that if the price is right.

        • How does the brushless compare on use time over the old one. I am thinking brushless to get more out of my batteries.

    • I have the 18V Cordless Pole Pruner and it does a fine job, just dont force it, just the weight of the saw will do, in saying that I would not buy a 18 volt chainsaw like this, rather more power.

  • Looking for a chainsaw myself too to cut tree branches. Any recommendations?

    • I'd start with your own trees then move on to your neighbours trees.

  • Just bought the hedge trimmer skin and blower kit (mainly for the battery) for $185 for both.

Works out to be a better discount if you need a blower.

    • Just bought the hedge trimmer skin. Just tried it out and whilst not as powerfull as my corded trimmer it will do me fine for my needs.

Already had the Blower from a few years back and use it quiet regularly. It had come with a 5.0ah battery and im sure was $109 at the time.

Before that I had bought the line trimmer that came with a 4.0ah and a bonus 4.0ah so overall I am set for batteries.

    • just bought same 2 items $107.40 for blower kit and $83.40 for hedger skin adds up to $190.80 how did yours cost $185. I have plenty of Ozito batteries so im going to buy the adapter on ebay so i can use them on ryobi tools.

      • Mine came to $185 because I roughly estimated and am also bad at maths…$190.80 would be the right price

The Victa 82v range are really good, I've got the mower, and I'm gonna get the chainsaw next …

  • These special prices end tomorrow.

  • picked up one at Epping store today for 60 buck come with a 2 amp h battery and charger. was deleted item and last one they have.

  • I bought the chainsaw skin this morning. Note you need to buy chain oil and fill the saw before you use it ($15 or so). I already have a few 5 and 4 amp ryobi batteries.

I used it today with a 5 amp battery and it worked fine to cut down a dozen gum saplings with trunks of 10-15cm diameter. No need to change battery and I was going for about 45mins. Recommended for light to medium duties.

  • Heater is now $30 @ Bunnings Nunawading. Bought two. At least another 4 left. Now to work out how to mount it

    • How's it go?

My wife got recommended the Noirot heaters for our toddler's room during the cold winter, we spend considerably more!

      • Seems to do the job as a bathroom heater. Google half works. Activates ok but no thermostat our ambient temperature read out in google assistant. But I'm having inconsistent results with thermostats working well in google apart from my Mitsubishi aircon which works really well with Google.
