[eBay Plus] Gigabyte RTX 2080 Ti 11GB Gaming OC $1599 Delivered @ Computer Alliance eBay

150
PANTHER

Not the absolute cheapest 2080Ti out there but in the current pricing (mid August 2019), this seems to be the best bang for buck including shipping for eBay Plus at $1,599 delivered for the Gigabyte RTX 2080Ti N208TGAMING OC-11GC model which received decent reviews for it's performance. Also thumbs up to Computer Alliance for being an eBay seller I've bought from before and once when I had an issue, they quickly replaced the faulty part which gives me confidence buying from them. Windforce is sold about $20 cheaper including delivery at other sellers but I thought may as well spend a bit more to get the Gaming OC!

Don’t forget promotion for free download of Control and Wolfenstein young blood from Gigabyte.

Super card is rumoured to be in the pipeline. Full chip aka T-REX aka Titan RTX with less VRAM. Might want to hold off.

    • +2

Yep. Lots of 2080ti models have been discontinued over the last couple of weeks.

I'm in the market for a new card. I have a spare pc that is running the on board graphics right now. Originally was looking at rx580 but it's only 150 more for rx5700. Is it best waiting to Nov when newer cards trickle out? My main pc has gtx1080 in it, I don't mind upgrading that and sending the 1080 to the spare pc. Current cards don't seem that much better than the 1080 as day tracing isn't really that necessary atm.

        • +2

Yes, sole reason why I haven't upgraded from my GTX 1080 Gaming OC that I got in 2016. Only the RTX 2080 Ti worths an upgrade (60% faster) but cost twice as much. Blergh.

    • Yep I saw the rumours but decided to just bite the bullet as otherwise I just keep waiting…!

There won't be a super on the 2080ti….

I asked "will there be a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SUPER" to which Fisher said there "would not be" an RTX 2080 Ti SUPER.

EDIT: If you want a possibly equivalent super performance, check out the matrix or kingpin….they're like $3k each last I checked…hell I think even these might beat the supposed super release if there is one on stock settings…

  • Hmm … I've JUST been eyeing off one of these … Decisions decisions (and also that tax return better come in ASAP)

    Got 2

  • What? No "computer alliancewas gud but now tehy are pricejakerz lulz" comments? Is this even ozbargain?

I have to admit from what I’ve seen they don’t Price jack for eBay sales but then I don’t study it like some others do. Their prices just seem reasonable to me with the coupon codes and given these are not cheap items, I’m even happy to pay a little more for peace of mind dealing with a seller I trust and have had experience with when things don’t work.

Yeah I worked with Computer Alliance as my companies' main supplier for about 7 years. They were exceptional to work with. I was just making a flippant comment about ozb tendencies lol.

        • Lol c’mon this isn’t Futu or wireless one… ;)

  • Is this good to mine Shitcoins?

  • The MSI Ventus variant is $1549 for a further $50 saving. Has 1 less fan, but all user reviews on Amazon/Newegg etc indicate the cooler is still excellent for thermals and noise, with some OC headroom as well. No RGB on this one though.

I couldn’t decide between those two in the end but decided to go with the Gigabyte Gaming OC since I found a compelling Aussie video review on YouTube. If it wasn’t for my trust in computer alliance, I possibly would’ve gone Ventus OC at $50 less since it’s still a higher grade/binned part based on what I read at WP. I also thought of getting the Windforce model for $20 less from another seller but thought heck may as well just spend a tiny bit more for peace of mind… and 30mHz!

  • Will they be making a 1670 and 1680?

I can do without the ray tracing in exchange for a significant discount.

I looked at videos comparing RT and no RT and I couldn't tell which was which.

  • I was waiting for rtx 2080ti deal below $1400 but it's just getting more expensive..damn

    • +2

You and me both. I ended up giving up waiting. The only redeeming factor is instead of buying the absolute cheapest card to get it under $1500 (even if it's the often discounted Asus dual 2080Ti), I justified spending a tiny bit more to get one with a decent cooler. Admittedly it's nearly the same as the Windforce which is also often discounted to nearly that price point, but the Gaming OC is 30mhz better… totally noticeable ;)

My shopback just came through as well from the eBay app at exactly 1% (still surprised me that it was exact) so my net amount spent was $1583.01.

  • Anyone know if this is a reference PCB and how the temps/noise is? I heard ref pcbs run hot and loud
