No good?
wish they would do the smart display 8 again…
Both Lenovo and their product suppliers have it 'on sale' for $199 at the moment.
It's $99 almost in all stores… You can get futher 15% from TGG eBay if combined with any other item to meet min $120 purchase eBay Plus sale
this code cant be applied to your order when tried to do that with over $120 of stuff from TGG
@mumof2sydney: Could be the problem with other item… I just tried on 2 of these and code worked fine, down to $168.30 from $198.00
Anyone know if this will integrate with a Yeelight/Xiaomi devices?
yes the mi gateway and aqara hub
Same price at TGG and Officeworks. Might grab one at this price via eBay.
This product would be fantastic if it we reasonably priced. Even at $100 it's a bit of a stretch. At $60-$70 they would sell like hotcakes.
For an alarm clock I would suggest this over the Google Home Hub. This has the newer alarm clock functionality like being able to set musical alarms and just saying "Stop" rather than "Hey google, stop" to stop alarms. It also has some other features that the Google Home Hub doesn't have.
The Hub can use many of these features but only if you set your location to United States.
The Hub is better as a digital photo frame or cooking assistant and the hub has better device control as you can control devices directly from the screen.
I agree, the alarm clock is tempting me.
But the Home Hub is not really a direct comparison when this clock is primarily aimed for bedroom use, whilst the Home Hub (with those different functionalities) is aimed for use elsewhere within the house.
Yeah, I just made the mistake of buying the home hub as an alarm clock before buying the Lenovo clock.
Was using the Google home Hub, recently bought the Amazon EchoShow S and found it to be much better than google
Well there's one major problem with these, Ipurchased archos hello 5, similar thing but I got it coz it actually has android on it. They all just have a standard lcd display, so they're not to be used as something in your bedroom, bedside etc. Simply, too bright, you can reduce the brightness with all the apps you can find, it's still too bright. What's needed is an option to reduce lcds light strobes intensity, which I think unfortunately isn't possible in these smart display/alarms, android assistants etc.
Not with the Lenovo Smart Clock, the 'very dim' setting is comfortable even in almost pitch darkness - they've actually thought about it this time!
Aldi have an alarm clock for $50 that has a 10w wireless charger for smartphones. I know it's not a smart device, but might be more useful
