some negative reviews, but one review seems to explain exactly how to set them up. or maybe only more tech familiar smart home users will be interested to buy it because they know how to set it up properly.

FYI, lots of cheap PIR and door sensors on Aliexpress. Zigbee or wifi, 2xAAA, or button cell. From under $5.

    • Button cell ones are so annoying though. They go through batteries so quick and you end up spending a fortune on batteries over the devices lifetime.

      • So get the AAA version.
cr2032 is fine for zigbee door sensors, as is uses almost nothing until the door state changes.
Are you going through a lot of the CR2450?
My Ikea PIR sometimes eat cr2032, but I think it is a software bug when they lose connection.

        • Yep IKEA zigbee is AAA, that's what I've been going with.

I use a lot of Aqara temperature sensors at home and they will go through a CR2032 every 5 months at this stage. It's getting expensive and I regret not going the AAA route. One good CR2032 is almost equal to an Elenloop over the year.

      • They shouldn’t if they’re ZigBee and well made. The button-cell batteries in my (many) Aqara PIR sensors go at least a year, even in high traffic areas, and sometimes last as long as two.

    I have this
Not sure if It’s even worth $2 because of how unreliable it is.

    • Can you elaborate more?

You first set it up using smartlife app, all nice and dandy, motion detected triggers a light after around 6 seconds.
Then a week or so later it disconnects from wifi, sometimes need to turn off and back on, or outright reset and re-add it all over again.
The issue is that when this happens, the routine you had set up becomes useless. I had to set up the routine again.
So overall it’s not a good experience.

        • Yeah I have the sd60l robo-vac on smartlife app (theres another reskinned app ive used too) Works fine for a few months then its a week of network issues.

        • Lenovo link pro does have this issue but it is not compatible with newer Android version.

  • Are these Tuya based?

    • Smartlife, but i use my robovac on either. Usually change app as a fix when network issues get weird.

      • Yes, Smartlife is Tuya. (= Kogan = Bunnings …)

  • Does it require Lenovo link pro? It is not compatible with newer Android, I think it is only up to 12. You may use smart life but I have not tried.
