13cabs and silver service, Get 10% credit upto $100 back

Pays for the credit card surcharge…

    • Isn't surcharge capped at 5%?

      • 5% in NSW yes, however they are paying <1% charge

    • Does anyone know if I can use the app to pay for a cab I've flagged off the road or do I need to book one via the app?

  • Hey You minimum top up is $30.

    Will this trigger two cashbacks?

    • Doubt it, unless it says you can use it up to two times

    • You can use pay as you go with the small surcharge

    • Topups counts as transaction?

      • +2

Yes, worked for amex shop small last year, but not as efficient as min 30 topup

    • +1

      No

Any manual links for Hey You?

    • I am looking for it as well

    • Would also appreciate manual link for Hey You as well. Thanks in advance

  • +1

Anyone know if the spend can be achieved obey a number of transactions or has to be one

Ie the hey you needs to be a top up or can it be morning coffees everyday for a week
    (couldn't find the T&Cs)

    • +2

It says spend $15 in one or more tx, online or in app.

Receive $5 credit up to two times.

    • +2

They're usually always over multiple transactions unless they specifically say in 1 transaction. Have redeemed offers from Kogan, Chemist Warehouse and Menulog in the past by hitting the spend requirement after the second transaction.

    • I'm thinking the same thing. It says one or more transactions, up to a limit of 2 credits. It could mean you meet the criteria by spending $5 6 times, reaching the credit at $15 and $30.

TigerAir are rubbish, they cancelled our flight at 10pm after all the motels had closed. Nightmare. They tend to cancel flights citing engineering problems when planes are under 50% capacity.

    • -4

Thanks, we'll all boycott Tiger because of the inconveniences you faced.

      Qantas: arrive as planned
Virgin: arrive on the day you planned
Jetstar: arrive in the week you planned
      Tiger: don't arrive at all

    • +3

Each to their own, I've been flying with Tiger for a few years now and the worst I've had is a flight delayed by an hour.

    • +3

I've definitely learned my lesson with Tiger. Always either delayed or cancelled.

    • +2

      Tiger is a lotto.

At the other end of the table was Tigerair Australia, which had the lowest percentage of on-time arrivals and departures at 66.1 per cent and 68.2 per cent, respectively. It also recorded the highest cancellation rate at 2.1 per cent

    • +5

Agreed Tiger if you have time to waste but not money

    • +1

Bad experience for me also. I took up this AMEX offer last time round and while I saved money on flights, I essentially lost a day's holiday.

      • +2

I used to price match Tiger flights on Jetstar. Never once have I stepped on Tiger metal.
These days I just use my treasure trove of qantas points

        • Yes which is why the reason there is absolutely zero reason to fly tiger unless you are flying to Coffs Harbour with no competition.

    • Both Tiger and Jetstar offer replacement flights, when there is a cancellation (to Virgin or Qantas). If you are flying between major cities, which Tiger predominately does, you should get a replacement flight within an hour. If you don't trust Tiger, maybe book an earlier flight and make sure there is a Virgin flight scheduled shortly after it.

      • We got a replacement flight, 8am the next day.

I've flown Qantas ever since. No dramas. You get what you pay for.

    • Sometimes delayed flights can work in your favour! I arrived at the airport at the time a Tiger flight was due to depart only to find it hadn't even boarded yet. I had enough time to clear security and they were nice enough to print out boarding passes even though they could have chosen not to. Everyone who was there on time would have a different view though.

  • saved one for heyyou! thanks!

  • Targeted? Can't find the hey you deal
    Anyone have a manual link?

    • Targeted for sure…

  • Tiger flights I was looking at yesterday have gone up $30..hmmmmm

    • +5

Don’t even bother. Price beat Jetstar 10%

  • There is also a Peninsula Hotels offer. Spend $500 or more, get $100 back. I have the Qantas Ultimate card.

I would never fly tiger again… I would only consider them for my in laws.

    • +1

      haha brilliant

    • Cool. Leaves more seats for us.

  • Tiger is my fav airline!

    Nah. Fxxk that!

I planned to fly with them first time many many years ago when I just got in this country. After entered my name and dob in their system, I found myself has been blacklisted! I was so scared coz that was my first time to fly domestic flight here and somehow I became a ‘terrorist’

Took them couple months to figure out it’s their system issue!

Maybe I’m still being blocked, but who cares..

    Thanks Tiger! Well done!

  • I got Tiger & Heyyou. Thanks!

  • Hyatt offer no longer available.

  • 13cabs and silver service, Get 10% credit up to $100 back

Hmmm, except I can't add my Westpac AMEX to my profile in these apps.

What's the point of being able to link the offer with my card when the apps are useless?

Well - back to Uber and Ola then.

Another self-inflicted wound by the cabbies…

  • Anyone done a top up using Hey You (minimum $30) and can confirm whether they got a single $5 cashback or 2 x $5? Given that the threshold amount is $15 and can be claimed up to twice, it's unclear whether this needs to be single or multiple transactions?

    • +3

Why don’t you try and give it back to the community ?

      • +2

I topped up $30. Just got the one $10 credit as I expected.

        • So a $30 top-up pays out both credits.

          • +3

@SydneySwan: Oh. Yeah, I guess it does. Sorry, I just had one -$10 transaction on my account after the topup, so for some reason I misremembered the promo and thought it was 2x10. But it's 2x$5. So I guess it triggers both!

            • @NigelTufnel: Thanks for sharing! @spk I wasn't willing to try cos if it required two transactions, I didn't want to top up $30 plus another eligible transaction. Was rather planning on doing 2 x $15 pay as you go transactions (and wearing the few cents surcharge). Note that it uses your balance first so it would have meant spending at least 45-60 dollars during the promotional period (30 top up, using this and 15 pay as you go or adding 30 x 2 top up balance) to get the credits.
