Shintaro Multi Device AC 5 Port Wall Charger 80 W USB-C QC 3.0 $34 + $18 Delivery @ Kickstart Computers

130

Inspired by this posting by sky6688 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/474998, I found and bought this wall charger that might be similar and cheaper and ready to order compared to the MBEat. The only thing that is missing from specs is the word “PD” but this charger comes with notebook Tips that might be useful for some .
Here is product link : https://www.ht.com.au/part/BN612-Shintaro-Multi-Device-AC-5-…

Credit to@O O (posting below) for finding cheaper prices than HT at kickstart computer and to @raven2000 for finding same cheaper price at HT amazon ( cheaper again via cash back )

Thanks to FarQ ( posting below) depending on where you live , it might be cheapest to get it from HT (1st posting) as the postage cost varies . My purchase + posting cost was for Western Australia .

Feel free to amend your post, if you like to.

        • How do you do it ??? Just add yours to the title ??

Found it on Amazon for the same price: https://www.amazon.com.au/Shintaro-Multi-Device-Charger/dp/B…

      $42 + $10, HT via Amazon.

That is amazing !!! I could not find these links before and you guys found them all and cheaper , thanks !!! Well done !!

that is cheap. I paid double that at least, but with a different badge. Mine is white.

Actually, shipping hurts it a bit.

    • Yup, there are few other rebadged ones with prices still above $80

        • +3

You’ve shared this same comment on a similar deal. Maybe consider that people might not be interested in low quality and unreliable equipment just to save a few bucks.

          • -3

@JD9151: You said it lad, similar!

These all come from the same low quality manufacturers, knock offs of the knock off. Nothing Aus/Eu/US certified and reliable.

It's ozbargain, chill and move on.

        • Do they also have 4 usb-a ports?

          • -1

@suburbanmale: The number of USB port means absolutely nothing. But they come with a USB cable! Just plug in your hub and enjoy.

            • @[Deactivated]: Number of usb ports does mean something as there is only a certain amount of powermyou can draw from USB A.

Having owned this item I can assure you that I feel much safer at night knowing that the plug is insulated unlike the cheap knockoff Mac chargers and that my battery is less likely to be ruined.

OzBargain isn’t the place to just buy the cheapest things you want its for finding items that are of good value and a dodgy mac charger is not one of them.

              • -1

@JD9151: No it means a chunky bulk of USB port that you have to carry and pay a lot more than it's worth.

                • @[Deactivated]: To you maybe, but chargers like these are very popular now. This is also much more convenient to carry in a laptop bag because of how thin it is.

                  • @JD9151: This is larger than the Apple Mac Pro charger

                    • @[Deactivated]: Yes but it is much thinner making it alot more convenient to have in a pocket of a laptop bag compared to an Apple Charger.

    HT is $39.25 + $8.27 delivery for me…

    • Wow , that’s really cheap for you , yeah I live in WA , it cost me a bomb $15.36 to ship here . I guess , the prices would vary between $47.52 to $54.61 depending on where you live

get some of these cables (data/power) for $4.95 each and it should make it worthwhile.

i use them in the car for apple carplay / android auto. as i use samsung and the wife is apple.

  • Do anyone know if this can support 110V?

    • MBeats one is 100-240V, so i would say so…

  • What uses 80W of power other than the biggest MacBook?

    • +2

60W max out of usb-c port.

    • Surface Book 2 15 can use 95W-100W. And like FarQ said this is only 60W anyway.

  • All 4 ports are quick charge?

  • +1

Here's what appears to be the same product. Read the reviews and charge your laptop with caution.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Charger-Premium-MacBook-Convert-To…

    • Thanks for this Information , it’s wiser to be careful with charges and how we charge devices .

this is exactly the same as a "kogan" branded one I bought for cheaper. Not a deal. No longer on sale at kogan, cant find the listing.

    • +4

So it's the current best price? No justification to neg in that case.

  • -7

You can find similar chargers with more power output with similar QC capabilities for far less. Generally don't pay more than $30 or hand in your ozbargain card

    • +2

      Examples?

  • $18 delivery? Are they sending it by taxi?

    • Cheap items costly delivery , Try HT might be cheaper delivery
