Go to http://www.quickflix.com.au/dealsdirect and sign up for a 6 weeks free trial. It's simple as that. They do want your CC details, however you can cancel within 6 weeks, no strings attached! Don't quote me on the expiry date as I'm just not sure.

I just did this deal and its as it says free, just be aware you have to phone them to cancel (you cant cancel online) if you forget to cancel your credit card will be charged

    • My free subscription finishes in 3 days and I just did my cancellation online…

  • I subscribed to a 2-month free trial with these guys during a promotion they had at the time.

Out of the reserved list I made, most were not issued to me. They had a turn around of 4 discs per week (despatched Monday, received Tuesday/Wednesday, instantly returned, next batch arrived next Monday) and after the 2nd week they e-mailed me saying that my free 2-week trial was drawing to a close and my credit card would be charged.

My local video store represents much better value with 1 new release, 1 3-night release and 4 weeklies for $10.

I do not recommend this mob. I have not negged this deal though.

    • was yours 2 months or two weeks
Quikflix generally has more obscure titles that not too many video stores have. But it's not a very good deal when it comes to new releases.

      • It was a 2 month deal and when I entered the code it even confirmed to me that it was going to be 2 months.

        I got the shiv.

Wish we had Netflix here, such a better way now.

Does the XM-619A5 code still work for http://www.quickflix.com.au/giftcard ? It did for me 2 weeks ago, and that's 2 months free trial with unlimited DVDs, which is working well for me.

I must say I've had a better experience than Guybrush57. Let's say they send DVDs on day 1: they arrive on day 2 if sent from the same city, or day 3 if sent from another capital. When I return them, using the Prenotification feature to tell Quickflix they're in the post, Quickflix sends me the next two DVDs without waiting to receive the ones I've returned. You can also stagger the DVDs rather than returning both at the same time. I return one in the morning (there's a post box at my work), and there's a new disc in my mailbox to watch that night after work. e.g.

Mon - discs 1 and 2 arrive. I watch disc 1 and Prenotify.
Tue - I return disc 1, Quickflix sends me disc 3, I watch disc 2 and Prenotify.
Wed - I return disc 2, Quickflix sends me disc 4, disc 3 arrives, I watch disc 3 and Prenotify.
Thu - I return disc 3, Quickflix sends me disc 5, disc 4 arrives, I watch disc 4 and Prenotify.
Fri - I return disc 4, Quickflix sends me disc 6, disc 5 arrives, I watch disc 5 over the weekend and Prenotify.
Monday rolls around again and disc 6 is in my mailbox :)

Sure it's annoying that on the weekends no postal service = no new discs, but you can pretty much have a new disc arrive practically every weekday, if you can churn through them that fast.

    • Yeah I have had really positive experience with Quickflix - nothing but good things to say. Fast shipping, nearly always get whats in my queue in order (even NR).

With this gift card.. if I'm understanding correctly. If you buy one, and then redeem it, do you got a bonus 2 months free?

      • You do not have to buy a gift card. XM-619A5 is just a gift card code that gives you a 2 month free trial when you redeem it (if your address has not already had a free trial). Cancel before the trial is over to avoid CC charges.
