  • Arm sold separately?

  • +1

This one also has an option for AU plug unlike other deal.

    • +2

it is an adapter not plug.

      • +3

Whatever, at least it lets you connect it to a regular powerpoint without spending more money.

        • +1

          Agree

    • I found gearbest always throw in the adapter even if not mentioned.

  • Could you add a larger M.2 SATA SSD to this one like a 512 or a 1TB??

    • +1

Yes you can but it will only take an M.2 2242 sized SSD unless you were to do some cutting inside. The video shows it in the teardown.

M.2 2242 is harder to get locally. Usually have to get lesser known brands through Amazon, Newegg or AliExpress for larger capacities.

Celeron N3450? A four year old phone will have more grunt than this. It'll spend most of its time processing Windows Updates at 90% CPU utilisation.

    • +1

Yup, It's like you bought a PC for Microsoft. You wont even have to use it, windows will use 90% of its little CPU all the time. windows will restart it every now & then (with installing updates bullshit), hell it will even break it (with 'unable to boot after installing updates').

  • So they're not same company?

    Name so similar

Of the hundreds of websites Global Top E-Commerce own Gearvita is not one of them. Separate company.

      • Oh cool where can I see list of co's Global Top owns?

        • +1

They have several subsidiaries. Global Top themselves are clothing manufacturers that supply to America's Kmart, Target, Walmart etc.

For e-commerce they have Globalegrow with sites including Gearbest, Rosegal, Dresslily etc.
Buzzfeed have previously done stories on their dodgy practices. Patozon is responsible for their consumer product brands like Mpow.

They also have other big stores for people in China that mostly deal with the importation of luxury western goods.

          • @Clear: Wow! interesting

Edit: Just from a skim-thru I've only heard of Zaful!

I bought a mini-dress for mum on Wish once and it turned out nothing like the pics either!

Edit 2: Oh wow just read your comment again EVEN US' Kmart/Target/Walmart.. those Chinese must be big players behind the curtains.

            • +1

@capslock janitor: Years ago in the early days of Gearbest they also had Everbuying and Dealsmachine active here who were for a long while not known to be related.

You'll actually find that almost all Chinese stores are part of a larger group of some kind. Global Top are definitely one of the largest.
