  • Aren't you better off spending ~$100 more for almost double the storage?
    Referring to this

    • I think OP did the math and per TB this is a better deal. I am limited in terms of hdd bays so opted for 10TB

    • Yeah something like that. I got 2 of the 6TB, so 12 TB for $291.76 plus cashback.

If you don't have enough bays, 10TB would be better.

if u planing to shuck it.. i bought 3 x WDBWLG0060HBK-NESN previously and all had WD Blue. I was disappointed. Took a punt hoping they were gonna be white label reds. :(

    • Sorry, I'm abit slow. What does this mean? Is there a fault with the hard drives?

      • +2

no. its just a term to describe disassembling the external case so to remove & reuse the drive elsewere. eg. NAS, PC, etc.

      • +3

you could think of WD Blues as their entry level, consumer hard drive. Red and Whites are aimed at a more demanding audience, so faster, and theoretically more reliable - but of course all hard drives will die.

    • +1

Ya.. 6tb are known to be blue.. 10tb are usually white label reds.. So the 10tb deal is better for those wanting to shuck em..
