OP can you please confirm if I am able to Tim Tam Slam these Mars Bars with my Milo? The bubbly air holes in the center of the product makes it look possible but would appreciate a definitive yes or no.

    Thanks in advance.

Hey, I am not sure if you can 'Tim Tam Slam' them, I have not tested that.

They are pretty spot on to the normal mars bar in taste and consistency so if you can do it with a normal mars bar there is a good chance you can with these as well.

Thanks for the quick response OP but you see I have had all kinds of problems with the normal Mars Bar and would not recommend Tim Tam Slamming them unless you have a metal skewer like I keep on me when the situation arises. I have to poke a hole through the entire Mars Bar (King size is very challenging) and the caramel blocks the Milo fairly quickly so I only get maybe 2 or 3 seconds max of Milo slamming action. I am hoping the lack of caramel in this version of the Mars Bar alongside the texture pattern of the inner core of the product might allow better flow of hot beverages.

        Is someone able to test?

        • +6

unfortunately the boxes are all sealed so I can not test. I will ask around and see if anyone has tried this.

I think if you used the skewer method with a mars bar freshly out of the fridge you wouldn't get the caramel running as quickly.

          hope this help

    $6 per bar? Since when?
Chemist Warehouse states a RRP of $4.95, currently selling for $4.49
    https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/86798/mars-protein-b…

Obviously not a great deal but you have more than 9 days to eat 18 bars.

Not really that good of a deal tbh. You can get 18x bars here for $75 less 3% which would be long-dated.

Once this comes in the post, the bars will have like less an a week before the best before. Wouldn't say it's exactly worth it.

A real ozbargainer waits till these are expired.

  • I think a decent protein powder would be cheaper?

    • +1

Always is when you compare bars to powders. Most powders probably cost less than $1 per serve and would deliver more than 19g of protein.
Bars are just a nice treat every now and then, like a chocolate bar.

  • try harder OP
