  • nice price though only in Victoria for Click and Collect

    • Yes, but check their website and they probably have stock. Not so Good Guys playing those games.

  • Soooo cheap. My tenant once cracked the glass on our similar Whirlpool cooktop and it cost more than that for the glass replacement…plus labour…

Which the tenant was only required to pay half of according to the RTA because the stove was two years old by this point. Still bitter about this 2years later…

For a sec, I thought the photo used was the new Iphone 11

If you want to go next level, Good Guys also have an induction cooktop in their eBay sale - only $1,119.20 + postage after 20% discount :-)

    • Link please.

    • wondering anyone who bought this is it hardwired or just plug?

    These deals are heating up!

Op can you use the cooktop with a 9kg lpg gas cylinder?

    • +1

Because if you post a deal on a product, you ought to be an expert on the product and in the products field.

    • Sorry. No idea mate but may be other mates can help with your query.
Or may be Call store to get the answers

    • LPG & Natural Gas can be different. Conversion kits are available for some items.
Best to consult a professional with gas appliances.

    • Generally yes, but needs jet change and a regulator off the bottle. Same difference as LPG and Natural Gas Heaters and BBQ.

FYI, a 'good' induction is ALOT better then any ceramic….

    • Couldnt agree more. I got a second hand Westinghouse induction off gumtree for $150. Would never go back.

  • a good induction cooktop is better however i never understood why they are 3-4 times more expensive. a portable induction cooker usually costs $50.

    • +1

Reason? Tax for living in Australia and because they can. Similar to double glazed windows.

You can buy a no name 60cm induction cooktop with 2 year warranty for under $250.

      • Why are good induction cookers and double-glazed windows taxed more? Or are you just saying you get charged more because it’s
considered a novelty or luxurious product?

        • Induction and double glazed, amongst other items aren't luxurious anywhere but Australia so we get ripped off.

We get charged more because we accept it.

I built my house with induction and double glazed windows. Can't wait to build my future house when triple glazed becomes more normal like Europe.

I've had a generic 60cm induction cooktop purchased from eBay a year ago for about $180 and got it installed cheaply by my sparky - it works absolutely brilliantly. glad i didnt feel the need to spend $700+ on a brand name model. This could die just out of warranty every two years and even after paying for a replacement to be installed i'd still be ahead after half a decade…

False economy buying an Ceramic Cooktop.

I have no idea why they even make Ceramic Cooktops these days when Induction is available.

    • Legit request - do you have any comparisons? I used to be all for induction, but apprently ceramic cooktops can be still be efficient when used correctly. (I do realise induction are better, but the price is mad).

      • It's not just the energy saving, it's the fact it's so much more powerful compared to ceramic.

    • +1

      Totally agree.

Induction is the best of both worlds. It has the heat delivery of gas, but without the inconvenience of cleaning trivets and the dangers of open flames..and it has all the convenience of electric cooktops without the poor performance.

The only downside is that you may need to upgrade electrical supply in your kitchen to handle the additional current that induction needs.

  • My existing cooktop is 10cm bigger than this one, can i still replace it with this one? :)

    • +1

Yeah sure.. put a rubbish bin under the cabinet to collect all the oil and rubbish that will fall down the 10cm wide gap.

      • Hehee ok got it :)

        • Induction.

          Check this out instead- https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Levante-70cm-Induction-Cooktop-M…

          Induction.

          Induction.

In case I haven't made myself clear, it's Induction.

          • @JimB: Thank you ;) notice its induction hehee

          • @JimB: How trustworthy is this brand?

            • @OzHan: Prob not lol but as there's no moving parts I doubt it's going to wear out.

With a 2 year manufacturers warranty, it can't be that bad.

          • +1

@JimB: It may require new wiring if you are thinking to upgrade from Ceramic Cooktop. An electrician mentioned it to me.

            • @dmiser: True as it's much more powerful, however smaller inductions cooktops may not require an upgrade.

  • Thanks OP.
Ordered the gas top over eBay with the coupon, oven via GG site with discounted gift card (not listed on eBay unfortunately)

    • Were you able to select click&collect? All shows out of stock though I can see stocks available on GG site. Thanks.

      • I got a call from the store not too long after ordering from eBay saying it had been OzBargained (no, not their exact words, lol) and ordered more stock. The oven is actually from a different store because this store had no stock, but is along the way.

So no, I did not have this issue because at the time I ordered, I could select the store in eBay C&C. But I did notice I couldn't select my first choice of store there but it was available on the GG site.

        • Cool. thanks for letting me know. I've already ordered few directly from GG site so all good.

        • Did they end up getting it in? I got a similar call but now they’re saying they can’t get it and will cancel the order

  • +3

Dodgy.. Their eBay Store shows no stock in any of the stores in Perth Metro area, however, TGGs own website shows stock in all of those. Also, delivery to Perth CBD is $35 (Wipes out the savings from discount code) from eBay Vs $10 from TGG website.

+1 for posting the deal though.

    • totally dodgy, i noticed that too with SA locations.
      but still, a good deal

    • Their website is crap.

Shows stock and then when you go checkout there is none. Unless your down Bunno or Busso.

Ordered for delivery and TGG call up to cancel saying no stock. Uhmmm it's delivery find it in Bunbury and deliver it then?

  • Curious as to why all the whirlpool stuff is so cheap with them at the moment

  • I just bought the ceramic cooktop and the oven https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/468188#comment-7465503 - both on the GG website. At checkout GG automatically discounted $38.40 as a promo. Noice!

    • I saw a little ad the first time I loaded the site this morning they would do a 10% discount if you bought an oven and cooktop together, though I couldn't dig it up again to read the fine print on it. But then saw here eBay was being adjusted too, 20% would beat that.
But that discount + 5% from gift cards (if you can get those) makes it 15% off … so as I type this, maybe I would've preferred that instead >_< , given as above I had to order from separate stores and now one reports not enough stock.

(Edit: actually just punching in the numbers, it's cheaper buying both from the GG site d'oh)

      • I was resigned to paying more on the GG site. The discount was a nice surprise. Plus, you can save a few bucks on Shopback.

        • I didn't pull the trigger on it all on the GG site because I couldn't see the discount in the cart, nor at the first stage of checkout the entering details. Finding the promo banner for that would've been handy for sure to confirm.
(note: this was with the gas cooktop + cheaper pyro oven)

  • Are the ceramic tops slower than a wet week? We have one, but use an Aldi portable induction as it is so much faster!

    • As slow as the one you have, I guess.

  • +2

Same old shit on eBay - quotes $86 delivery to Tassie, then when added to cart says it can’t be shipped here…

  • Anyone know a good Licensed gas fitter around the northern suburbs of Melbourne?

  • i once saw a cermaic cooktop, it was fancy thought it was a induction cooktop and put my hand over it. the rest is yea.

  • wondering anyone who bought this is it hardwired or just plug?

    • Received mine on Saturday, it's hardwired

  • Received refund from good guys ebay

  • FYI checked my eBay and it said been given a refund in the summary screen, no calls or email or whatever. Refunded on the 10th.
First negative feedback I'll give lol.

And FWIW have heard nothing about the Oven order which was done via TGG site yet. They can't just refund that cos I paid with a gift card …
