I have $150 worth of eBay gift card credit but I can’t buy gift cards with it. Is there a work around anyone 😭 I wanna buy these

    • Trade with someone?

      • Already loaded onto Ebay. Hmm thanks anyway mate

    • +1

If there was, it would send every retailer involved broke in about 6 months…

      • I’m sure his was a rhetorical question.

Just time for Mario Maker 2 , this + receipt code should bring it down even further after price matching to Big W

Limit of 3 cards purchased every 10 days

Cards are posted out, not emailed

    • +2

I doubt that, it clearly says it will be emailed out, not to mention the fact that this store is well-known on OzB for sending out gift cards via email.

    • +3

It literally says “email delivery” next to the dollar amount.

  • Thanks OP have been emailed cards already

  • Just JB? Any others?

    • No

  • They would have better done this before ppl got a JBHifi card from the telstra deal and trying to offload it haha

Don’t forget you can get this same offer all the time if you have Suncorp benefit, RACQ lifestyle or AGL rewards.

    • +1

      It’s only 4% with RACQ.

      • +2

You are correct. Sorry NIB rewards or entertainment book would be the others offering 5%

        • +1

Don't forget they have a credit card surcharge to consider too

          • +2

@f4te: No surcharge with Suncorp - bought a few recently for Jb / coles / woolies @5% off

None of them seem free nor are able to signed up in 5mins on the spot right now. Probably won't even get the gifts cards instantly too.

Given that you pay with Paypal, you can pay with a credit card and won't get hit with cash advance fees. So this has it's advantages.

      • +2

Suncorp is free from any fees or surcharges and the gift cards are instant. I’ll often buy a gift card whilst in a store.

        • good to know… going in for a price match this weekend.

          • @Frozensage: price match at jb hi fi is usually a waste of time, but good luck anyway

        • EDIT: I found it! Wow do they have a lot of gift cards.

I just signed up for a Suncorp account with their 'No account keeping fees forever' promotion. All I can see is Woolworths and Kmart gift cards, do you know if I need more than just an Everyday account to access JB cards or do I need to deposit a certain amount of money?

          • +1

@JoJoker: Keep clicking. All cards should be there.

  • Make it 15 like last time

  • Can you use these to buy other gift cards in store? (e.g. e-shop vouchers)

    • I've bought Steam gift cards w/ them but not sure about the others.

    JB website Gift Card Help
    Under
How do I redeem my gift card in-store or online?

"Note: You CANNOT use your gift card email to purchase in-store. The actual gift card MUST be presented."

So you can only use it for online order ??

    • You'd have to order online for click and collect I'm assuming.

      • +1

Used digital gift cards ( via Suncorp ) last week at JB in store - no issues

    • +3

Digital gift cards have a barcode on them that can be scanned in store, so I can't see how or why they would be online only. I have used digital gift cards in store in the past and have never had an issue. The wording of that makes me think that people have tried to use the gift card purchase email in the past, instead of the PDF that has the actual gift card details.

      • +2

Yup I have used digital gift cards in store too. They definitely mean you need to present the PDF with the barcode (actual gift card), not the email.

If your buying up gift cards for high end purchases have to add up if the small 5% saving is worth missing out on benefits such as price protection , extended warranty, accidental damage etc when purchasing with certain credit cards

    • Check your PDS – you might be eligible with only a minimum of say $500 on the CC.

      • +1

28degrees price protection for 12m up to $1000 per item, $5k limit per year, plus merchandise protection loss/damage etc.. ilpretty good benefits just need to pay on time to avoid fees

  • Is there a limit on the amount of the gift card per purchase?

  • It allowed me maximum of 3x100 cards

  • -1

Can potentially get 15% off by stacking it with the eBay Spain offer tonight https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/466656

  • Guaranteed delivery: Tue, 02 Jul. Why an email takes 4 days.. I need to buy something before EOFY.

    • Just buy in classified at about 10% dc

    • PM?

  • I'm able to get this through Suncorp also at 5% off.
I'm happy to help anyone out if you need a few and want these without the wait time - send me a PM.
