Great laptop. Bought mine a year ago for.. Less than this, though.
Great screen, great hardware. I had to get my screen replaced a month ago, though, as whoever put it together did a shoddy job.
Repair under warranty was great. A couple of days to get it fixed in county WA.
Why did you have your screen replaced a year from owning a laptop? this rings some alarm bells as I dell is notorious for quality control issues.
Something about the glue holding the lcd on. It appeared like smudges on the screen after a few months. No issues after it was fixed, and the repairman said he'd never seen anything like it before.
Just wait a couple of days/weeks, New XPS 15 coming out in couple of days in the US, which I hope brings the prices down even more. Lots of mixed reviews about this 9570 model.
New model is not going to be any better. The 9750H is not an upgrade over 8750H.
better Graphics card, better Display (OLED option), maybe faster RAM…and yes better CPU…nuff said
better Graphics card
It's an incremental improvement.
better Display (OLED option)
If you spring for the $4000 option, sure.
maybe faster RAM…
Same RAM.
and yes better CPU
Benchmarks have proven it is not better. It's not that it isn't capable of being better, but the slim chassis of the XPS 15 does not allow it to reach its potential and ends up being the same or worse due to overheating.

If you spring for the $4000 option, sure - we don't know any prices, hold your horses
Same RAM - speculation
CPU - again speculation
@xcornx: The laptop has already been reviewed. Reviewers in the US have it already.
Secondly, the $4000 price is how much you're expected to pay for the current top of the line XPS 15, so to expect it to be even cheaper is lunacy.
we don't know any prices, hold your horses
We do know prices.
Same RAM - speculation
CPU - again speculation
It has already been reviewed, and has those specs.
Are you expecting DDR5 or something? Doesn't exist. Nor do Ice lake H CPUs.
At this stage I can only put this down to willful ignorance.

We do know prices -https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Dell-XPS-15-7590-9th-Gen-i7-9750H-16GB-RAM-512GB-SSD-GTX1650-OLED-4K-UHD/323845728923?hash=item4b66b5aa9b:g:ZEQAAOSwvH5dFU-n:sc:AU_StandardDeliveryRegisted!4879!AU!-1&frcectupt=true $2800 = roughly 1200 short of 4k
I said maybe on the better ram, never claimed it to be, was hoping faster clockspeed.
CPU rougly 10% faster than old one. Havent seen NEW XPS vs OLD XPS benchmark - again speculation, those reviews are a joke….
At this stage I can only put this down to willful ignorance. oh the irony….
doesn't matter I'm buying one of the new ones. njoy
Dell S series are crappy 6 bit IPS. Would recommend avoiding them.
Not a deal.
Only 8g ram. 1050 video card?
MSi I7-9 cpu , 16g ram. 1t ssd, 2060 6g video card, original price is only 2399, just wait ebay 10%-15% discount, get a much better gaming laptop.
Apples and oranges.
code stopped working, its not even 30/June yet…
This will get cheaper very soon after the so-called tax time sale, cause sales will go straight south.
