    • The OP has incorrectly advised that $1232pp with a drinks package. This is INCORRECT the from price is WITHOUT a drinks package, and from what i can see the cheapest WITH drinks package is $1707 (from a channel distributor site and not NCL direct). So an extra $50 per night, the question is can you drink $50 per day?! ;)

@ChiMot, you haven't been on a cruise before so probably could be an ideal candidate for this one ;)
      1. Free perk needs to comply to cabin category
      2. Yes, all cruises you fly there yourself
      4. Drinks packages vary from cruiseline but usually are red/white wines, beers, softdrinks and bottled water
      5. Yes, you get AYCE all day, errrrrday.

Yes, only valid for new bookings and those cabin categories are excluded.

$120 pppn for an interior cabin is not great value. Drinks package only worth it if you're a heavy drinker.

    • true,I don't drink.
but have seen people pay $70,$80 per day for drink package on cruise, and you have to purchase the whole trip, can't just buy one or two days, for people who buy drink package anyway(works out close to a thousand for 10 days),it's included here.

      • I've been on over 30 cruises with royal. I'm sure as a matter of public policy anc liability, passengers can report they are drinking too much and cancel for the remainder of the cruise. You can also add a drink package on later in the cruise, provided there are x number of days remaining. You can not just say you want a drink package on sea days only. Yes they want you to buy for the whole voyage, but there are. Work arounds.

If you cancel any package early, you may find that they calculate the days used at a ridiculous daily rate and subtract that from your amount paid, masking your refund less that you would expect on a normal pro rata basis.

  • cheapest that includes drink package is $1707 pp

$1232 pp interior twin share inc drink package

        Sorry, he's right.

If you click through the NCL site to the booking page for that 1232 price, you'll then see these magic words straight after: "Promotions are excluded on this category and not recommended if you have specific deck & window preferences, proximity to elevators, etc."

You need the next rate up at $1743 pp to get promotional offers like the drinks package.

Negging to draw attention to those looking that the price in description doesn't include the drinks.

          • @028: "choose "inside",not "sail away inside",click on the $1622 option, somehow it came out $1317pp twin share inc drink package"

No, still wrong. It only goes to that on the intermediate step when taxes aren't included. Continue to click through and the initial price will be displayed at the end again once taxes are added i.e. $1622, so $162/night/person, or $324/night.

It's 1178/person for the cruise without drinks, so you're still paying ~$450 extra for the package.

  • another get to sydney expense and tips on cruise

still not bad for Per Night rate twin share inc drink package

$1232 pp interior twin share inc drink package

  • $2400 is enough to have a proper decent short holiday in nz, including flights, and youd see way more.

    • true.it's a different holiday thou.you are not comparing another cheaper cruise holiday option?

  • Do passengers have to pay some hidden charge to get the drink package. Like a lump sum gratuity or a per drink gratuity?

Is this the same agency that was advertising dream cruises with over and above gratuities even though it was RT from oz?

    • -1

      edited,info from NCL official site.
      not an agency

  • On the surface this looks like a good price, but way too many unanswered questions. This is ozbargain, not ozfreesoender

  • Looks like a great deal. A free drinks package will save you a couple hundred dollars even if you only have 2 or 3 drinks a day. A couple of beers or wines and a cocktail will be well over $20.

    • So you pay $450 extra to save a couple of hundred dollars? Doesn't sound like a "great deal" to me.

      • you are funny.this is a deal for people who will buy the drink package onboard anyway.it works out cheaper.you are not comparing the same thing.if you find a cheaper deal, post it here.

  • This isn't a deal. It's $1622 when you go to checkout. The $1317 price is before taxes of $305pp
