  • $16.45 postage to Metropolitan Melbourne, and $19.95 with insurance.

    • Dear MiCCAS,
thanks for disclosing the insurance postage options to others.

CPU is two generations old, integrated Intel graphics. Spend an extra $150 and get the sandy bridge with dedicated graphics in the Lenovo E520 deals.

    • this is probably a deal suited for budget users or business company who need some laptops especially during Tax time, where their main objective is spending the minimum to get a laptop for their daily task.

    • Sure beats what you get in most low-end netbooks… 'course battery might night last the business / school day without a lunch-time charge.

      There's always a trade-off I guess.

      PS Both 32 & 64 bit windows?!?

Is there any way to install BOTh (in case some important piece of S/W won't play under 64-bit Windows?

    Wow C2D…. that's two generations old….
I have feeling that you might be able to get a previous gen i3 or current gen i3 for about the same price if not, for just a little bit more, like $50 or so (don't quote me havent done the price check, just saying so those on the look for a new lappy are aware of what's on offer)

    • Hi Trance N Dance,
We do have a previous deal on Toshiba i3 model (Our cheapest Toshiba i3), offer ending soon, at $484.95 after applying coupon code. thread: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/46397
However, this current offer includes a copy of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010, so value difference is definitely more than $50 as you may have suggested. However, I totally agree that it is a good mention from you so that people willing to pay more for a new lappy can consider other options such as the i3 model we still offering on our site.

I picked up this model at Harvey Norman when they had their 40% off Toshiba a month or so back. The retail was $499 then, so I got the unit for $299. A good laptop for general use, not worth $499 anymore.

Office home and student doesnt make this unit worth full price + postage however. If you start clearance at $350 or less you will probably sell the lot.

    • $350 delivered that is :P

      • As for Trance, nice try for your price suggestion :P. Anyway guys, for a core 2 duo laptop on the market, surely this has to be one of the better deals?

        • +1

Would have to be one of the "better" deals out there cause they simply don't exist anymore, they've been superceeded AAAAAAAGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS ago!

    • Wow, i believe you are talking about a celeron model in this thread:
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/42041
price at 499 after discount 300
our model: PSC13A-00Y002 <=== is a Core 2 Duo, meaning even not the latest model, but performance is much better.

  • Hehe, you make this laptop sound much older than all of us. This is actually one of the latest batch of C650 we received and they have been on the market because some people just do not need the upgrade to another higher level for their purpose. And this laptop slots perfectly behind the core i3 series and in front of dual core series while the price is pretty much the same as many dual core and even celerons if you remove the Office Home and student 2010 from the price.

  • RRP $1,060.50
    NOW $499.95
    SAVE $560.55 (52%)

    LOL!
