  • Hmmm, not bad price… I nabbed my Turbine Plus for $620 delivered a couple years ago (same as this model, but with a hard floor tool and other small accessories).

On another note I own this machine and its 2 months out of warranty and the power head broke and I rang them up last week and they sent me out a brand new one for free , if i had to buy one they are $130 off eBay. Id like to see other companies give the same service.

$620 is a pretty good price for Australia. But if you're happy to go without Australian warranty, and want the mini turbine head and hard floor tool included as well ($133 RRP for both according to dyson.com.au), it's available for EUR 362.25 = AUD 518.54 shipped to Australia from amazon.de (go through checkout to see the price without VAT, and converted by Amazon into AUD): http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B001580024/

Knowing how slow Shopping Square is in shipping things out, you'll probably get the shipment from amazon.de earlier too, since they ship using UPS. ;)

Can somebody tell me why jump22 was neg-voted for his comment? Other than failing to mention that you might need to buy an inexpensive power plug converter, I don't see any problem with his suggestion, because appliances in Germany operate on the same voltage and frequency as Australian appliances. Perhaps I'm missing something.

EDIT: It's okay, he's been + voted now, and balance is restored to the universe.

Two negs now (and for you as well); I wish the people negging would bother to explain why they think my comment doesn't belong here. I was merely trying to help, after all, by offering a cheaper alternative (which I appreciate isn't a deal for everyone, since some people place more importance on warranties than others). /shrug

          It's cool - I'm giving you + votes! :D

  • I have never like bagless since I bought a panasonic one. It is dirty and hard to empty. I will stick with my Miele bag with dual filters. When it is full, just through the whole bag in the bin rather risking the fine dust spilling out of the bin from emptying the content.

    • I like the baglessness because when I empty the machine I can dump the contents on to the upside down open lid on my bin and sort through them as I'm alays vacuuming up small kids toys.

      • +3

I like bagless cause I always empty after vacuuming and no additional bag cost. Also I dont want the mites to be breeding in the bags if only empty once a month or longer.

I am a dyson fan, bought the DC24 with free bed and other cleaners head (mail in claims) plus 2 year warranty.

  • Managed to haggle Harvey Norman to sell the DC26 for $470 from $599.

  • That's a good deal, BingLee and selling $699.
