    Great find HPJ!

  • How long do you guys think this promo will run for?

Also interested to know about this:

      Plus Weekend is Coming!

The Countdown is On: 22-23 June, 2019

      • I know. Do I jump on the 15% now or wait for plus weekend? I doubt eBay will do more than 15%.

        • I'm guessing there will be ebay+ exclusive offers on certain items, it won't just be a blanket 15% or more off.

          • @King Steuart: Yeah that's what I think as well. I can't remember the last time eBay did 20% off everything. I want to buy some board games and I've never seen eBay ever target them specifically. I doubt they'll do that during plus weekend.

            • @Jacko1235: Decided to pull the pin as I couldn't resist. I bought two board games.

              • -1

@Jacko1235: Pondering over 5% for a couple of board games? Geez change your name to tightass.

                • +1

@neirboca: Hello, have you met an ozbargainer before? I think someone in this thread bought when it was 10% off and then contacted the seller to cancel the order and then immediately reordered for the 15%. Now that is the true ozbargainer spirit.

                  • @Jacko1235: Depending on the $$ amount in the order that is probably okay. Gong on about 5% on a board game or two is quite petty.

  • I was waiting for this to come around again, but I've only got $70 worth in my cart. Yesterday I was thinking of something that I always buy anything that I should just buy from eBay, but now I have no idea what that was.

The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones…

      • $50 worth of yellow onions it is!

        Or Alcohol.

PS. 'anything' should be 'anyway' in my comment above

  • Glad I held out. 10% be dammed.

    • +7

Hope you can find what you're after in amongst the "eligible items". I never seem to be able to, these days…

    • -8

Items are pretty limited e.g only 4 cameras.

      • Correction - 4.5 cameras ;)

      • really neg the deal cause you cant find an item

        • +1

Whats the point of neg vote? Ebay sales are always pointless.

  • Gearbite Ebay have the Xiaomi M365 Pro at $764.15 with this coupon, marginally higher than the first deal they did at $747 the other week.

    https://tinyurl.com/y6gl4khl

    Great find chaps - $135 discount…win

    • Thoughts on this??? https://tinyurl.com/y3sk3a36

I'm concerned there may not be a warranty…

      • I've sent Gearbite a message asking the same question

        • With the one they sell or the one in the link above?

Either way, i've bitten the bullet and ordered that one, was $378.21 delivered (after 15% off).

          • +1

@ComfortablyNumb: with the Gearbite one, although for the price the one you got looks like a damn good deal

      • +1

That one is a copy, not a genuine Xiaomi. Would be a good deal otherwise!

        • Oh really? What a joke, they shouldn't be able to advertise like that.
I've requested a refund… Shame because I already ordered a M365 Pro upgrade dash to match it just after it :(

I've asked if it is legitimate Xiaomi (clearly not…)
If it looks too good to be true… it probably is.

          • +1

@ComfortablyNumb: Yeah it is extremely misleading unfortunately :/

I only realised because you cant see the name Xiaomi mentioned anywhere. And under brand says 'unbranded', so good chance it would be a copy.

        • Okay, funnily enough, this same seller has a deal posted on OzB before, same story… Except that time the seller was not as flippant and put Xiaomi all over it!

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/445039

          • @ComfortablyNumb: Nice catch!

Hopefully you can get your refund sorted quickly mate.

  • Thanks OP. Roof top tent I was looking at is eligible.

    • If you're in QLD I can sell you a second hand roof top tent!

      • I'm in Darwin. Postage for roof top tents that I can find are all around the $120-135 range…

        • I guess they're pretty massive and heavy, this 15% off will definitely help with removing postage then.

        • Small houses in Darwin?

    • Link?

"Eligible Items" - pretty much a scam to push ebay plus

  • -1

DAMN YOU EBAY I BOUGHT SOMETHING YESTERDAY and now gonna miss out on the extra %5 in savings :(

  • +7

I've had the worst experience dealing with ebay.

I bought a few items using ebay gift cards and then returned those items (had ebay plus). The sellers gave me full refund for it. I didn't see the return in my account so I called up ebay. Was told to call up Paypal which I did - who said they never got the refund. After going back and forth and countless man hours, it turns out that the amount goes back to gift cards.

Now, ebay never returned me the full amount even though the sellers did. More than a $100 were missing from my refund. I call up again. Was told that I will get the amount in a week. Never got them. Called them up again. Was told to wait for a week so they can ask the Gift Cards team what happened. Got a reply that the money is indeed missing due to a "technical" error and will be refunded in a week. Waited for two weeks. Never got the money. After finally calling them up and talking to a supervisor, I got him to agree to give me a voucher which sounded like was coming as a favor to me even though it's ALL ebay's fault.

Anyways, I used the voucher on something half of the voucher amount so I can use the remaining amount later. Only to turn out that it was a one time voucher and I cannot be issued another one because the technical team declined the supervisors request.

Now I don't know what I should and shouldn't do apart from never using ebay again. Just thought I'd share it here to see something similar happened to anyone else and spread awareness regarding ebay's maladministration.

    Sincerely,
I'll use Amazon only from now on

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't jump on any gift cards myself but hopefully others here might be able to avoid going through the same ordeal.

Sometimes the bargain is not worth the hassle…

    • I got caught out with the same issue with a price match voucher, asked them for a new voucher with the difference and they had no issues doing it.

    • Yes this seems to be a potential risk with using eBay gift cards. One thing to note is record down on each/stack of GC what you have purchased using it. Then keep it aside for some time just in case you need to return, etc.

    • +1

Similar things happened to me earlier . So much for the eBay plus superior customer service. Oh well mine runs out next month. When I had issues with adding a “eBay plus” item to my cart with free shipping, then 5mins later, it was no longer eBay plus & they wanted $15 shipping - Nothing we can do sir, it’s algorithm which decides what & when an item is eBay plus eligible. .

Amazon know how to treat their customers. Which is why I get one eBay parcel for every 20-30 Amazon ones.

    • Most people throw the gift cards out after use so Ebay make a lot of $$$$$ on refunds to these gift cards . I've been aware of that for a while and are very careful of keeping them . Have a peanut refund and a $19 to chase on the cards now . Will only chase the $19 one .

Wouldn't just use Amazon both have there place for best prices in this country :)

    • I had something not turn up and wasn't refunded as it was from the marketplace

  • Any core i5 or i7 8th gen laptops that are a good deal now?

  • Lucky I held off on the 10% deal… I had a feeling they were going to give us something

SELECTED ITEMS NOT ELEGIBLE SHOULD BE IN HEADER- ITS NOT CATEGORIES ITS JUST SELECTED.

    • 15% off Eligible Items

      • 15% off* for Plus Members

        Non-members save 10%.

        Use code PLINK
*Ends 20/6. $120 min spend. SELECTED SELLERS. Excls & T&Cs apply

  • Funny thing is - I saw the exact same item from 2 different sellers - both Australian sellers based in Australia with the item shipped from Australia.

But only one of them are “eligible”.

Does that mean “eligible” items are based on the sellers and not on the item itself? - for example seller needs to be a top seller or have lots of feedback or have sold a lot of items etc

    • -1

      15% off* for Plus Members

      Non-members save 10%.

      Use code PLINK
*Ends 20/6. $120 min spend. SELECTED SELLERS. Excls & T&Cs apply

ALL THOSE NEGS TO WASTE PEOPLES TIME.

      • What negs?

        • -2

          look up

      • Which SELECTED SELLERS?

Based on what? - feedback %? Total no. of feedback? Sales volume?

        • -2

          why ask me?

  • Quite annoying they waited until the eBay plus trials from the last 15% off special expired before putting it on again (but also entirely unsurprising). Would've used this to get a Bugs 4W drone for a good price.

  • Ordered something at 10% off last night and it is eligible for 15% with this code, the difference is $6 - any options?

    • punish yourself and drink 2 less coffees over the week! :)

    • $6? Deliver a pizza or something. Not sure how you can make the $6 back…

    • +3

Update - asked seller to cancel the order being honest about the situation and they were happy to and I just reordered it straight away with the new code. Great service from the seller tiptopshop. Got my $6 back :)

  • I've got about $250 worth in my cart and am getting "We can't apply this code until you reach the minimum order total."

    Whats that mean?

    • Looks like not all items qualify.

  • How many times can code be used tks ?

    • 4 times

      • ty

  • There is another Plus event this weekend though, wonder if it will get any better?

  • Does anybody know how to search with this code? Or if not, has anyone found a Samsung Tab S3 with the code?

    • -1

Do a search & tick the “eBay plus” box on the LHS (if you’re using a web browser)

      • ah, so eligible items are all ebay plus items. I get it.

        • no not the case..I have tried several items and have no luck…all were ebay plus

          • +1

            @slipperypete: Oh reslly?

So it's another eBay lottery. Ah amazon, you don't even have to try

  • +1

odd - i no longer have ebay plus but I could still get 15% on a particular item even though it wasnt an ebay plus listing ….

  • Bugger, just when I needed to stock up on whisky, Nick's lost their inventory on eBay. I hope they bring the items back soon!

  • Not all eBay plus items are eligible!

  • +3

Give us a 10% ACROSS ALL SELLERS AGAIN ebay

  • +1

This stoopid random game of looking, putting stuff in cart and then finding it does not qualify is driving me nuts for last month.

My time is worth more than i save when I waste an hour on this batch and swtich recent 'discountys' that mostly never are.

  • For those who missed out on the Baby Bunting Britax Graphene, the grey one has been relisted and is eligble for 15% off :D

    • Damn, must have missed it or they took it off the listing as I couldn't find it on their ebay store.

      • yeah, i just looked. They must have taken it off right after me and another person bought it because it was still up for a bit after.

  • Thanks OP! Got myself the dashcam I've been waiting for.

  • I hate these "Eligible items" only eBay codes. Why not do a few site wide ones for a change..After all it's EOFY..

    • Because they want everyone to join Ebay Plus

      • If that was the case they should offer 15% off sitewide for eBay plus users. That would convince me to sign up for a year.

  • Says in T+C it can be used FOUR times.

Used it once for max value $200 savings at 15% off and other tries refused - ''OFFER ALREADY USED''

  • Correction - the MAX discount possible was $156 at 15%.

Buying multiples of eligible items -

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Domestic-letter-with-tracking-Sm…

Buy 10 packs and discount $156 … add 11 or 12 or 13 or 16, and discount capped at $156

    Do others see that?

    • discount apply to the first 10 items

  • When is it ending?

    • +1

      Code expired just now…
