I vaguely recall a prominent ozbargainer having an unhealthy attraction to Nobby's nuts. What was his name…stab, crab, snrub? This deal better come around again in Feb 2020.

Packed in Australia from less than 10% Australian ingredients

You will be better off buying Coles brand Salted Peanuts which are 100% Australian ingredients than this bag of crap.

    • +3

Agreed, Australian nuts taste a lot better too!

Coles brand are much much better although their freshness can be a bit hit and miss at times. Maybe not roasted as long.

    nibble nobbys nuts

    before he nibbles yours.

    • before Nobby nibbles yours.

    • What if I want someone to nibble on my nuts.

      • +1

You'll probably be paying more than $3.50.

  • Knob nuts is a bit suggestive, isn't it?

  • Too much sodium…

You could buy Woolies branded unsalted peanuts for $2.10 ($5.6 per kilo).

      • Yep these are pretty good, salted ones are too though I have have too much trouble stopping - soo morish!

      • Also imported though. But yes if you are comparing the two the Woolies ones are the better option and cheaper, plus unsalted my preference

  • I do love to nibble Nobby's Nuts…

  • Nibble on those salty nuts.

  • Chocolate salty balls is where it's at

I’m gonna have to buy some of deez.

  • Are these roasted?

Can get 1kg raw unsalted peanuts from grocers for $5 or thereabouts.

Coles sells 375g Salted Mixed Nuts for $3. They contain [Peanuts, Almonds, Hazelnuts, Cashews]. I haven't separated the nuts to determine the ratio of the nuts but I had some today and the amount of cheap filler (peanuts) was less than I expected. So maybe you're still paying > $16/kilo for the nuts other than peanuts, but you get to feel fancy for a day.

    • I actually did this once….

  • I’m about to go nuts, while eating peanuts!

  • Not all nuts are the same…😜😜😜

I wrote this a few months ago:

After 9mths of “rediscovering” peanuts as part of a balanced keto lifestyle, my verdict/ranking of salted peanuts (factoring taste, value for money, carb/sugar content):

    1. Coles branded salted peanuts using imported peanuts, $2.00 per pack
    2. Coles branded salted peanuts using Aussie peanuts, $3.00 per pack
    3. Nobby’s Nuts branded salted peanuts using imported peanuts, $3.45 per pack
    4. Woolworths branded salted peanuts using imported peanuts, $2.10 per pack
    5. Costco salted giant peanuts using USA peanuts (can’t remember the brand name, but it comes in a big round 1kg tin), approx $3.00ish pro-rated back to 375g

Nutritional tables (carbs): Coles Aussie 10.4g, Coles imported 9.2g, and Woolworths inported 14.1g. Big difference in carb/sugar content.)

Note: The Costco USA ones are like 2X.X grams of carb/sugar!!!

Note 2: Sometimes, the Woolworths branded ones are hit and miss and very oily and/or very bland in taste. Only the Nobby’s branded ones have been consistent on quality and slightly a bit more salty (which I prefer).
