[VIC] $1 Food Fest, Various Food and Drink $1 in Melbourne CBD with Ritual App

350

First Deal post, please be kind!

Similar to the Sydney deal, I was scrolling through Instagram on the train this morning and looks like the Food Fest is ON for Melbourne CBD!

$1 food and drink items from various vendors! Limit of 1 per day, up to 5 redemptions per account. June 17 to June 28!

Just a note guys! If you sign up using a referral code, you get a $10 credit to spend, so its better to use either the referral code generator to gift other ozbargainers!

Note: thanks to mintygirl for the previous Sydney post

Full disclosure: I wasn't able to put through an order due to "server issues" but hopefully others have better luck!

Update: I was able to put through an order at Supagrind successfully.. Paid nothing cos I had referral credit.. 😊

Referral Links

Referral: random (109)

$10 credit or 1000 points for referrer, $10 credit for referee ($5 at sign-up, $5 after first purchase)

  • Very limited options at cbd

    • Seems only venues east of Elizabeth street according to their map.

  • not sure about the referral process, lots of links to links :\ i opened the app and it said i got $10 from someone, but dont know where to see it. oh well, $1 lunch is good either either way!
Edit: did a test run for a coffee, still coming up at full price  no referral bonus?

you should be able to see it as credit on the bottom of the screen, and if i recall correctly it is $5 on signup, and $5 on first purchase.

      • +1

        thanks
I ended up adding the code that was received in the URL (ie, NAME00000) to the promo code section and its now worked, got my first $5 =D

i logged a ticket earlier today, got scammed by one vendor to sign up for $20 credit and it just debits my card like normal…. they have hardly any cafes - Hey You! is still the pick of the bunch IMO.

  • +1

Quite a fair few lunch places near me (parliament station). Will try it soon!

    • I'd suggest ordering sooner than later as stocks can run out… Happened to me for the 5 Dimes Bagel store…

  • +2

The deal actually ends on the 28th not the 21st as posted.

    • +1

      Updated! Thanks! 😊

  • it says you get $5 for first order, if we use this deal and pickup something for $1, do we use get the $4 left to use or is that just gone? Hope it make sense.

    • +1

You can use the remaning $4 for future orders.

  • +1

thanks. Picked up and ate 2 lunches for 2 of us!

  • +2

Thanks OP, got referral credit, got $1 lunch, still have $4 left. It’s gonna be a good week.

  • Should probably add Melbourne CBD to title as it seems that’s where all the locations are.

    • +1

      Done! 😊

  • Can anyone confirm if this Food Fest is running until June 21 or June 28? Only because the image in the app says June 17-28.

    • Sorry.. Updated! 😊

  • How do you find out what the $1 dishes are? Or do they only show up if you go into the place and they're open?

    • Once you are logged in, you should see a section on top regarding the "$1 Food Fest"..

When you click on that, it will show you the list of participating restaurants..

      • +2

Thanks, I just realized it's app only, doesn't show up on desktop.

        P.S. Highly recommend soi38.

  • Second day of 2 free lunches!

    • How did u manage to get 2? Also, what are u getting?

I got 12 dumplings from Ta-Ta House on Russell street today..

      • Were the dumplings nice? What other places have you been to?

        • +2

Mainly Asian food. Rice with meat yesterday and sushi. Today it's chicken with fried rice and soi 38.

        • +1

          They were actually quite good..

Yesterday, I had a crispy chicken wrap from Supagrind.. It was alright but I liked the dumplings a lot more…

  • Cheers for sharing guys! I'm tempted to order the Boat Noodles from Soi 38, but I don't eat beef and I'm uncertain of the meat they use for the broth.

    • +2

It's beef, I have the opposite problem - I don't eat pork. Go for ramen I'd say.

      • Much appreciated! Cheers!

Got Pork and Prawn wontons (15 pieces) from Juicy Bao (On Little Bourke) today… Pretty filling and they taste good too!

    • take away right? do they give you chilli oil / soy sauce?

      • Yes.. Takeaway…

Now that you mentioned it, it was meant to come with peanuts, chili and spicy sauce.. But I didn't get any of that..

        • +2

Today I got the pork dumplings from Ta Ta House - they were juicy and delicious! And yesterday I got the sweet and sour pork from The Crane.

          • +1

@Slappie: Told you they were delicious! 😊

The Wontons I got today are equally good.. Just ensure that they include the sauces before you leave the store..

            • +1

@AbbyL: damn you guys made me wanna try those tomorrow!

          • +2

@Slappie: Sweet and sour pork from the crane is pretty good

            • +2

@fomal: Okay, will try The Crane today. Whatever you do, don't order from Think Asia!

    • +2

Got the Pork & Prawn wontons from Juicy Bao today too, soooo good.

      • The dumplings from Ta-Ta House on Russell street are also pretty good..
