ASUS (a brand usually held in higher esteem than HP, for some reason…) has some i7 based laptops with;

17" screens,
8gb RAM,
500gb or 1tb hard drive
etc.

for around $1350 delivered to your door.

Now, why should this particular HP model be worth $1529 + the inconvenience of a trip to DSE? :-/

(OK, so it's not SO inconvenient to get to a DSE.)
