Best i can find for a 1300w platinum unit.
Antec / Seasonic are reputable psu manufacturers as well.

It's max rating. A standard 1 GPU 'gaming' PC will use less than 400w under load, and around 50w idle (or less).
The power bill is still cheaper if we comparing on how much people spent on Apps / online games

It is unnecessarily high for most PC owners, if you utilise two GPU's or more, you'll want something like this, but very few people do.
For modern, non high end, PCs 600W is enough.
1300W that's over 100 Amps at 12V. How thick are your cables and circuit board connectors?
Good price if you need the wattage.
If you have to ask if you need this.. then you don't.
With the apparent death of quad SLI this is pretty niche. Good price tho.
Maybe still good for gold bitcoin rush. 😉
Nice price. I paid about this much for my Corsair RM1000i 1000w gold power supply.
RMi got Corsair Link though
Just curious how do you use 1000W? SLI?
I have a cooler master 1200w gold, I used to run quad gtx680's and a 3930k for rendering.
It's a bit overkill for my current setup, but it is also one of the only parts (other is SSD's) to last the 7 years till now.
hmm fair enough. So you'd recommend a Cooler Master PSU? Trying to decide for a PSU for myself. Do you know which has the best support/RMA?
If you don't mind tinkering a little but, this is a great price for a lot of 12V and 5V current for other purposes as well.
Desktop power supply, battery charging, running car audio systems in your home, running any 12V systems you have at all really.
If you bought a dedicated 12V desktop power supply that could pump out 100A+ at 12V, you'd be looking at $500 plus imo, and this thing probably has better protections in place as well.
do you think this is a good idea? I'm no electrician so I've always been a bit wary.
Don't get me wrong, I have an old 600W psu running a bunch of LED strip lights underneath my shelving and a few high CRI lights over my "drawing" area, but I've also always thought it was potentially a bit sketch and not as good for the purpose as a dedicated 12v hobby supply.
I am also not a sparkie. But i don't think it is particularly dangerous. Not as dangerous as utilizing a decent size 12V battery, for example.
I personally wouldn't hook it up and tuck it behind my fabric couch or anything, in case it heats or sparks.
But having it in your garage, shed, workbench… don't see what could go wrong compared to any other 12V supply. It would be materially similar. It'll be fused/circuit protected for the appropriate current, which is admittedly high. So i guess you'd need to know what you are doing with your downstream cable sizing otherwise they might get hot.
Fortunately there are literally hundreds of forum posts with people doing detailed breakdowns of such repurposing of computer and server PSU's so there is a lot to read if you don't know what you are doing.
This unit is the High Current Pro Platinum built by Delta.
I have a 1080ti, Xeon processor along with a SSD and 2x 2tb hard drive and it works fine off a 450w power supply…
These 1300w power supplies….. why?
Surprising a 450w has the right power connectors and enough current on the 12v line in the first place…unless you are running with converters and just hammering the amps through the cables.
its a corsair… a decent brand not dodgy brand… (this matters)
yep it just works… in most intense gaming session even overclocked it doesn't hit 400 watts… I have UPS that monitors the voltage and watts so thats how i know…
which UPS?
Impressive since under full load a 1080Ti can use over 400W

That measurement is for the whole system.
You are correct and my brain needs a wash.
good for mining
This is a great psu. I've been using it for 2 years now, no issues what so ever.
I demand to know who’s computer needs 1300 watts !
Turkey cooking must be one of the features.
1.3kw. geez, soon computers will be consuming as much power as air conditioners
