Was able to pick up a RX100VA (seconds) from the Sony eBay store for $727 this week, but this is a good price for IV.
Couple gens old… Are these still worth it.
I have the Mk1 which has some issues from being dropped.
Might just stick to using phone camera from now on. The photo quality difference is not too great anymore.
I bought a Sony 5mp camera at a garage sale for $2, takes AA batteries too…
Barely any difference between the Mk4 and the Mk6, some autofocus improvements, more FPS (16 vs 24, although if that matters to you the Mk7 is rumoured to be out soon, brand new sensor that'll do 50 fps continuous shooting) and bigger zoom (at the cost of the f1.8 at the short end, now f2.8)
Otherwise it's just them throwing bigger buffers, touch screens, HDR video, etc. Not a huge difference. Only thing is that I've seen rumours the Mk7 will be out this month, so if you miss this price it won't be the end of the world, likely to happen again soon.
depends if you need 4k video.
