That Kenwood Hand Blender is a serious piece of engineering and well worth $50.

I have one, it's awesome, and i've never used it, but you might. No, not mine, but the one you buy. I'd buy it again if i needed it, which i don't.

      What the??

What it is is an accurate description of my loving relationship with my Kenwood Hand Blender. Pay attention.

    • Wooooooord.

Mine from the epic kitchen sales combined with 79-20 last year is still sitting in my garage quietly n clean. Looks absolutely awesome and I take it out to give it a polish once in a while. Probably can pass it down brand new as a heirloom and my daughter might need it when she makes baby food IF she ever has one.

  • Cheers OP. Been using a second hand 80's stick blender with half a plastic tip (I dropped it) for years. Sick of looking at it. Now I'll have something decent to blend my half price Nature's Way protein powder, which I buy twenty of, every time they go on sale. :)

  • Is a measly 800W sufficient to blend ice well?

  • Stick blenders have sold out. There were three left when I bought one. Phew. Wish I had more cash in my VISA, I'd buy the set (the blender is around $50 in cream) but I always transfer nearly every spare dime into my home loan savings account.

Thanks I've marked as sold out, but last few times Amazon have something like this I think it flags for someone there to check stock or to put onto backorder so worth keeping an eye on if you can.

  • Thanks Op. I have been eyeing for a toaster.

Can you separate the blades from the jar for ease of cleaning?

    • +2

      yes, most blenders allow this
but I would not do this too much since it can create leakage due to the seal wearing out.

      • @pinkybrain thanks for the reply :)

This is what I would do with other blenders I have had in the past but for this model you do have to take it apart to clean it, otherwise it gets a bit gross. Its easy to do, but still a pain.

remember last year Amazon deals are all below $20, will they come back again?

    • Still got one of those silly motorised doughnut coffee machines in the box in my garage from that sale.

  • I bought the kMix 2 Slice Toaster last year when it was on sale at Amazon. Returned it after about a week's use as the housing was separating from the frame, and the quality of toast (even-ness, consistency) was pretty bad. Bought a Sunbeam Maestro 2 Slice Toaster for $47 from Amazon and are much happier with it.

  • Any point buying the blender if I already have a 1000W Nutribullet?

    • If you like glass jugs. Personally, I've got a magimix le blender and have used it for years, and have had to buy spares when stuff wears out. It is great. I'm considering getting one of these for a spare.

What the hell? What makes this toaster worth that much? Lies!!

    • U can buy a $7 toaster from Kmart.
Or a fancier one for like $9 from Big W. (from memory)
Target has a toaster for around $12. (from memory)

      • Yeah, been using a Kmart toaster for 6 years, hasn't died yet.

    • You should see the limited release one from D & G at David Jones. Around $400 for a toaster

  • Good deal. The blender is still good for $50 I think.

  • Thanks OP. The 'fresh cream' colour is still in stock for $50.98 + free postage.

  • I also bought this toaster when it was on sale last year. It now only toasts in one of the slots and I'm wondering if I can get a refund. Overall the quality is not great - maybe okay for $30 but definitely worth nothing like $100+.

  • Bought one thanks OP. Came today, wife loves it
