I was looking for 32" TV under $150 for kitchen & kids bedroom and found this TV on Australia Post Online Shop at $149 with free delivery Australia wide so just bought. Got HD resolution, USB recording function & 3 HDMI In. Didn't find anyone selling cheaper than this so thought to share with everyone. I heard from few people that JVL is re-branding of Soniq but not sure if it is true or not but this size TV with this price seems bargain.

Yeah JVL is rebrand of Soniq.. I got a 50 inch TV in the eBay deals earlier this year and it's been fine!
JVL
Sounds like JVC. I actually thought it was JVC brand.
Nah, it's a cross-bred of JVC and JBL…
Japan Victor Limited
More like JV limited.
JVL
Does this have anything to do with that clown jv that resides on these forums? =p
no
The TV works most of the time so definately no relation.
The TV works most of the time so definitely no relation.
Jinx
Not exactly…
The TV works most of the time so definitely no relation.
Worth noting its only 720p not full HD. Would be fine for a kids bedroom though.
If you're after full HD in 32", I believe your only choice is Samsung or Sony at around $600+.
I bought a Philips 32" Full HD monitor to use as a living room TV for exactly that reason. Full HD 32" TVs are hard to find.
Well, Kogan sells their smart TV for 240.
The only problem that I know is that the 40" non smart is also the same price lol.
The 40" is Full HD but the 32" is HD.
@adr8: This one https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-40-full-hd-led-tv-series-… right?
Bit disappointed because the color in SD for Kogan TV is not as good as my old plasma Changhong TV which is not HD as well.
Even so called Full HD channel in Kogan is looks the same sharpness with my SD Changhong.
@brongz: The point I was trying to make is that if you need a 32" TV (bigger TV won't fit) then you'll have to pay a premium for Full HD.
Once you get to 40" and bigger yes there are many more options, but at 32" your stuck with either a Sony or Samsung at $600.
Is the quality of the picture good as Full HD? Compared to my old plasma non HD Changhong it’s almost the same sharpness.
So Kogan full HD similar with old Changhong SD. To be frank, disappointed when I turn the Kogan on for the first time. Their SD channel looks like color in CRT/tube TV. So soft, not sharp.
@brongz: I'm guessing you would have to step up to a more expensive LED or OLED TV to get better picture quality than your plasma.
I still have one of the last Panasonic & Samsung plasma's and the PQ still looks fantastic but recently got an OLED and it blows them out of the water.
I recall buying a dick Smith FHD 32 inch years ago for about $280 via ozbargain. Surprised Kogan don’t have one these days
They sent one with a DVD drive by mistake
@entropysbane: Judging from the comment, I'm guessing it's because the monitor market had overlapped it. I mean, 2 years ago, FHD 32" IPS Phillips with supposedly 5ms is only 250 bucks in store.
Now, you hear about Vsync 1440p 32" for 280.
I got a TEAC 32 inch Full HD TV about five years ago that was actually suprisingly good - think it cost about $300 on sale at the time. But I imagine it is tricky to get something good and cheap at that size these days, 55 inch is the new 32!
There's a Full HD JVC at Big W for $219
https://www.bigw.com.au/product/jvc-32-led-tv/p/493085/
Specs are a bit light on, so suggest confirming 1080P. A review on another site does mention 1080P and also states no external speaker sockets, although does have headphone socket so you could use that for a soundbar?
Edit: This ebay listing has refurbs of this TV for $189, but they also mention max res of 1366 x 768 so perhaps there is some trickery going on and that's why they are getting them back to refurb? https://www.ebay.com.au/p/JVC-LT-32N370A-32-HD-Digital-LED-T…
Good guys also selling the same model as 1366 x 768 so someone has it wrong.
The specs listed under product features state 'Supports Full HD' which usually just means you can connect 1080P devices, pretty sure you will find that the TV has a native resolution of 768P.
@adr8: Yeah, that's what I also deduced given the lack of actual specs and conflict with other sellers. Wordplay trickery sucks Big W. I bet that's why there is a refurb seller on ebay.
At 32 inches it would look almost as good I would think. Just a guess, though.
My main tv is a 720p Panasonic 32. ( yeah I know, but it still works) it looks pretty good until I pop next door and see their QLED 65.
lol. I’m always so tempted when I see them at the shops. Then I see the price tag and reality kicks me right in the balls.
It's not 720p, it's 1366 x 768 which means you will have overscan.
Even watching Peppa Pig would look garbage on it.
IMO, it's not worth it even for $100. There are many other things you can buy for that money. The only use I can think of is a CCTV monitor in a store for crappy analogue low-resolution cameras.
It's still 720p
720p is 1280x720.
The specs clearly say 1366x768.
That is not native 720p.It’s a cheap implementation with overscan.
Get one of these and a Chromecast and you've got a cheap bedroom Smart TV…
That's what I've done with my kids' bedrooms. Not with this TV, but another cheap 32-inch. Works a treat just with the earlier version chromecast.
Bought two, one for toilet + bathroom thanks OP
Well there's one OB member who can look forward to some pretty serious haemorrhoids.
Yes it's not adviced to spend more than 3, 4 mins in the toilet
On behalf of your children's teachers, please don't put a TV in their room
Toilet is A OK
Funny how people think the living room is somehow okay for TV, but bedroom is unhealthy.
Idea being that living room use is supervised, bedroom isn't. I've had 4 and 5 year old students come in with huge bags under their eyes because they've fallen asleep in front of their TV somewhere between 10pm-1am I'm guessing. Not that bedroom TV automatically equals slack parenting, but so far I'm finding a very high correlation.
Not sure how you acquired information about what those students were doing in their bedrooms late at night, but let's assume you had inside knowledge on that occasion. The second point is that bags under the eyes are caused by staying up late. Nothing to do with TV. They could be messing around in their rooms doing anything without supervision. There's lessons for children to learn: Stay up late, feel bad next day. Also it's better for kid to be trusted to turn TV off, than not be trusted to have one in the first place. Difference of opinion will have to suffice here!
"Hey Mum, can i joint the Porn Sluts of Outer Space?"
Yeah, best not to leave kiddies unsupervised.
thANKS but from the reviews ive read its not worth even 150…. but if it hits 100 i will buy
Cheers for checking
I got a JVL, it's pretty annoying, takes ~15 seconds to power on, doesn't remember power state (so can't control it via the power socket), colour reproduction is a bit poor as well and there is often visible banding…overall I wouldn't buy again
The smaller tv market is getting fairly overlooked by the manufacturers and anything decent is way too expensive and anything cheap is needing to be paired with a media box (vodafone or the like) at additional cost anyway. I'm starting to think that for the bedroom a cheap/2nd hand 21:9 monitor paired with a media box would be better than the current offerings.
Thank you all for being nice with me on my first post. I will try to hunt more better deals in future.
Thanks for posting. Not good enough qual for me but after months of research my bathroom wall mount still sits empty.
Personally I can't justify the $600+ for the samsung/Sony and decided the best reasonably priced 32 is the hisense p4 so I've just been waiting for a good sale.
They always have huge sales on every larger screen but the 32's rarely get marked down much.
If you find a good deal for a p4 then you have done well.
During Christmas the P4 was selling for $300 (20% off eBay sales). Ended up with the Panasonic 32FS500A for an extra $40. There is also a non smart version of the Panasonic which is cheaper again, but it wasn't part of the sale so worked out cheaper to get the smart version of the TV.
Thanks I'll look in to the pana. Preferably I'm wanting the hisense for 250.. it is a hisense after all
I saw something about a freezing issue with the Hisense P4 in the reviews. Not sure how widespread it is.

Found new Hisense 32p4 HD smart TV $276 Delivered on appliancecentral eBay store after 20% off. Make sure you add code PYRO20 on checkout, offer ends on 5/6/2019. Hope this is the one you were looking for.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/32P4-Hisense-32-Inch-Series-4-HD…How do you get free delivery? Says $76 postage for me. EBay plus?
I have just checked doing checkout as a guest and it's say standard delivery is free.
@Catchadeal1990: Hmm, must be free local delivery in Syd? I'm getting $76 to Melbourne.
It's a good deal with free delivery.
@King Steuart: Hmm bit weird, I have tried some random melbourne address suburb Carlton and postage came $34 but when tried Williams landing then came up as $76. Sorry mate, tried but couldn't able to get you good deal.
@Catchadeal1990: $295 at JB now, think I'll grab one from there.
@King Steuart: I'm getting $34 delivery for Mel metro. It seems going by other recent posts they have an issue with their postage calculator. May be worthwhile messaging them on eBay to get them to fix it.
@adr8: I've sent them a question. Can only ask!
@King Steuart: Same here :)
Thanks OP. Got one for the kids. From comments it seems like this isn't a smart tv. How would I go about getting netflix on this thing?
Laptop -> connect via chromecast or cable :)
Thank you :)
Chromecast or the apple equivalent. Or an android box that has chromecast built in.
A gift for the Earth, in the form of e-waste in 5 to 10 years from now.
Isn't that all TV's?
Yep. Except that cheap and nasty electronics tend to get produced in higher numbers and live shorter lives before tossed out for council collection.
I bought it. Perfect in the budget.
Thanks for sharing!
