    If I previously entered for multiple family members, and don't remember which receipt was used for which person, could they pick up on it?

  • Still waiting for my Virtual Visa Card. Hope it comes through soon. If for some reason I do not receive it then I will be returning the ice cream for a refund.

    It's a neg from me now, seeing that plenty of people are getting their cards and I've yet to get mine.

    Originally submitted on May 18. Got the unnecessary request to resubmit my receipt on June 4. Ensuing debacle with not accepting receipt uploads and SMS's coming through hours late. Sent my receipt through the contact page and then again once the resubmit page was working. $9 (still way overpriced) for a small tub of average ice cream - I won't be buying an Ben and Jerry's ever again. Oh, and a "pint" in Australia should be 568ml NOT 473ml…

    I've been asked to resubmit one of my submissions, but I uploaded the image of the receipt directly from the camera using the 'upload image from camera' option on my phone, so it didn't save a copy of the image on my phone (that I'm aware of). :(

  • so what did those people that had more than one claim do when it came to resubmission, in terms of matching which recipet for which claim?

    • weird, got asked to provide only 1 reciept for the resubmission,

      all the others were just text msg and "Ok, we will need another 10 days to process"

      Write the name of the person whose claim it is on the back of the receipt. That's what I did. Once again, my paranoia saved the day.

        I ended up doing the following

        looked at my photo order , ticked it off with my Ben and Jerrys email time stamp, and matched them together

  • Claimed 4 for each family member. All asked for resubmission, did all 4 the same time. Received 1/4 only.

  • contact support about wrong number input on the claim form, they responded by asking the number put in the form. obvious can't remember.

    just head up if you put in number that is not actually work or without receipt. unless you remember the random number you put on or dig out show receipt again. i guess sadly they will reject your claim.

    oh well. i almost given up now as we probably understand this campaign is disaster for them

    anything we get back is a bonus now. never buy these ice cream again

        I contacted their support department stating that I had mistakenly entered my phone number wrong when registering my claim. They responded to me and asked what phone number I had used - obviously I couldn't remember.

        Just a heads up that if you registered a phone number that doesn't actually work or don't have a receipt, they will sadly reject your claim unless you recall the said number or show the receipt again.

        Oh well, I've almost given up hope as this promotional campaign has been a disaster.

        If we get anything back it would be beneficial, but I'm never buying this brand of ice cream again.

        That's the best I could make of it, my Shortgum is a little rusty

    After reluctantly uploading the 2nd round submission I received email below (Tuesday) but haven’t got the visa.
    WTF…. do I just do nothing and swallow this bs??

    Then enter your Claim ID (see first email received) and provide any additional info required (sms verification etc)

    After you have done that then go to that same link and enter your Claim ID it should say

    "You have already provided the extra details"

    Been waiting for mine for yonks and it looks like it was still pending sms verification all this time but I didn't receive any email asking for any additional info. So pretty sure there might be others out there in the same boat so thought I mention it here.

    This "Promotion" from Ben and Jerry's has been a big farce. If their intention was to put people off buying their overpriced ice creams, they have succeeded.

      They were apologising on Facebook and agreed that it was an "absolute mess" last week, yet don't seem to have done anything and have now turned off public posts? No follow up or apology email, and they haven't signed up to OzBargain and made a post either. This promotion was a complete farce and waste of time, will not be buying Ben and Jerry's again, the ice cream is rubbish and way overpriced anyway.

    I think they will come through but I’d say they are just scrutinising the claims to avoid paying out to the same person twice.
    This deal had 14k clicks alone so you can imagine how many claims they have received. Im sure there’s hundreds or even thousands of invalid claims from opportunist who have claimed more than once.
    This deal could potentially send them broke.

    "Claim has now been validated and is valid. We will request the virtual visa activation email to be sent asap but please allow up to 5 business days."

    As this was processed yesterday, this should come through by COB Monday 17th of June.

  • Claimed 4 for everyone in the house and all of them asked for resubmit the receipt, it happened on my holiday overseas when I didn't check the email regularly. I just did it today and it said it would take another 10 days to validate the claim
    This is a very successful marketing to destroy the brand.

      It's actions like this that destroy a marketing campaign.

    You will need to upload your receipt by this link: https://www.benandjerrypromo.com.au/Home/Claim

    In order to upload your supporting documentation to the claim form, you will be required to use a scanner or to take a photo of your supporting documentation with your phone.

    Please look out for error messages and make sure that you are waiting for your documents to upload before pressing submit.

    If you need to re-size your document, an easy way to do this is to take a photo with your phone and email the image to yourself, choosing the appropriate size. You will then be able to use the re-sized image to upload to the website.

    *I had already done this twice and when I went to do it again, was told claim already submitted

            You bought ice cream, the visa was an extra not tied to the price or product quality at all that would warrant a money back policy.

    Seems both my wife and I were in the minority with our claims, we both received the email a couple of days late (past the 10 working days) stating our claims were valid, but will take a little longer to process.

    Then a couple of days after that, visa gift cards in the inboxes.

    I asked for details on how to complain. I was given the following response

    I have no faith in them responding within 48 hours as they have not been able to stick to any other timeframe given. This process has been very frustrating.

      Wow! 5 minute response time - thank you so much! Both claims marked as valid. For anyone with no VISA yet - please do this! Email them with a picture of the receipt if you have it, and a quick paragraph including your claim ID. Took 5 mins for them to approve both of mine!

    I took one of the leaflets (https://i.imgur.com/gR1f2Kw.png) that was in store for the promo. Consumers typically would have been influenced by the promo and purchased the Ben and Jerrys product, with the expectation of receiving the $14 gift card.

    The gift card has not been supplied in line with the terms and conditions of the promotion. At https://www.benandjerrypromo.com.au/Conditions.pdf it states "Claimants will be notified in writing via email within 10 business days of making a valid claim, with that email containing a unique code and instructions on how to claim their gift." For many this has not happened.

    Given the product was not as advertised, people who haven't received a gift card could obtain a refund from Woolworths.

    • I wonder how this will play … especially if I haven't received the visa in another 5 days I would ask Woolworths.

    • Just take the receipt back to store. Say you were mislead by the in store advertising.

      Just submitted my complaint. Hope others have too. We have 3 claims in my family that have not been honoured too.
