Probably cheapest so far , Grey import.
These are Dual sim models . I used 10 % off ebay gift cards from Woolworth and price was effectively $680.

Good price ? Good seller?
Last time I checked this model of phone is now made in Indonesia.
Mine is made in Vietnam
Whats wrong with that?
Better to buy local, Australian made and owned Samsung phones
LOL
I read the comments here sometimes for the giggle!tnx
Wow these have dropped in price. I haven't kept track recently since deciding my next phone will be a Huawei instead, but good to see prices tumbling.
my god that is cheap!
Instead of using a second sim you can insert a micro sd yeah?
Yeah. Extremely cheap and very goooood deal. No idea about the seller
I have seen a YouTube video of how to piggy back a sim onto a microSD card and have BOTH :)
Can I get a link to the Woolworths gift cards please
Thanks so how many gift cards would I need to buy to purchase the phone ?
I'm guessing 8 with change left over on last 1 and would Ebay accept 8 gift cards ?
@BiG BoY: Yes
@cyclone22: Thanks
@BiG BoY: I used 1 code and 10 gift cards bought a phone today.
jesus you couldnt work out how many $100 or $50 ebay cards are required to buy a $750-$800 item!
@Samsungnote10: I was thinking the same. Lol
Does the Coles have similar giftcards ?
Pay a bit more and get better local warranty from samsung instead.
How much more?
Abit more than $680 ?
Never buy from jbhifi. They're a rip job
So besides no being local and accepting dual sims, is there anything missing from this grey imported as opposed to a local unit?
Local stock from OFW, JB Hi-fi are dual Sim too, its just the network branded ones with single Sim.
Do you get a warranty with these? What happens if they break

Wonder what's diff between the s10 and note 9. They're bridging the gap between each other more and more
N9 has Stylus
S Series usually has the new CPU and graphics whilst the Note continues that same version but adds the stylus and slightly more features and usually with a better camera on top. S series is at the beginning of the year (Feb) and Note is at the later part of the year (Aug).
This is the global Exynos version that'll work perfectly fine here. Wish it were the SD845
Whats the difference?
Edit: https://www.anandtech.com/show/13582/samsung-galaxy-note9-pe…
Seems quite big.
How can you tell which model has the SD845?
You can download the phoneinfo app. Under the hardware tab, it should tell you what your chip is..
N9600 is 845, N960FD is exynos
Thanks, changed my order to the N9600
@qvinto: Which listing did you get? Or message seller to change.
you cant use volte …..
I bought local from Samsung and while traveling to Asia found that my model doesn't support Volte as it was disabled on software level and there was no way to activate it. Some of the best networks in Asia use Volte for calling. Took me a couple of days but finally flashed Indian firmware to make volte work again. Such a hassle and something I didn't expect from an unlocked device especially for a feature my low end Nokia 3 bought for $100 supported out of the box.
My exact pain point, how come they lock it to region, after paying $1000 for a phone it doesn't work in India with jio network. Money suckers, better buy pixel or iPhone instead
It tells you never buy a Samsung again, better than ads
If you are into samsung phones and travell to india or anywhere else. Try changing phone's csc to XSA when you buy it,which is Australia Unbranded CSC and the volte and wifi calling will work for you anywhere in the world where it's available.
No, it doesn’t. I flashed my overseas S7 edge to Oz Firmware (XSA), but VOLTE still didn’t work on Jio Sim during our last trip
@OzSikh: It did worked for me on s9 plus using jio.
Will it trip Knox when u flash firmware?
It won't if it's an official Samsung firmware.
What Australian csc you were on when you travelled to Asia?
Trs available on this badboy?
Nope it's a grey import.
Grey stock or not, that’s an amazing price for that phone.
Curious to know if anyone has had to use Samsung warranty? I've had a few Samsung phones which have been given a pretty hard life, but I've never needed to claim warranty. Seriously contemplating a Note 9…..
if your talking about this deal there is no Samsung warranty for this phone (warranty is with the seller so be prepared for some headache there if you need it), but in general i cant comment on samsung as i haven't had to use warranty for my note 8, knock on wood.
Yeah good call there….
i don't know about others but i go with the rule that if im happy to lose whatever money i'm outlaying for a product (due to it breaking and warranty issue's, not saying it'll happen but its just worst case) then i'll go for it but when something costs $700+ i rather not take the risk… :)
@scud70: My take too on buying anything from os
damn 680 for this or s10 plus for 975, i have the westpac thing
can i claim the full price of a phone on tax? if its considered a business phone only, and never used for personal :P reason is i have second phone i use for personal life.
It's a grey import. You can't claim on tax. If you're claiming 100% on tax as purely work phone, then I would probably go for AU stock that way you get warranty and get to claim it on tax.
i know im getting into the details too much, but can i claim the entire value of the phone in one go, or does it have to be divided up for next upcoming years, is there like a value cap on the price of a phone that you can claim? i read that if its 300 dollars you can claim it at once, but if its more, does that mean that it will be divided up to 300 segments each year, so a 1000 dollar phone takes 4 years to claim?
Your accountant is the best person to answer this question.
What are you talking about? You can claim overseas purchases on tax.
Yes you can claim OS purchases but I highly doubt you can claim this one. My mother tried claiming her grey import LG G6 and friend tried claiming his OP 5T and accountants said no you can't claim. Perhaps OT didn't have gst? Or no ABN number on receipt?
@gezza90: Of course all overseas merchants don’t have ABNs.
is that model have the snapdragon processor, anyone over here knows ?
No this is Exynos. You can get the SD processor from these guys but the phone will cost more.
The price difference between sd v exynos was fifty something dollars.. in the end i paid around 815 for sd845 version :)
Price is $744.60 now.
Sorry new here . Is that down or up from from what it was before you updated.
Down. It was $755.65
Does anyone know if FM radio can be enabled on the Snapdragon or Exynos version?
Looks like it's possible on snapdragon. Seems a Canadian firmware flash might be required. No idea if that trips knox/kills something else.
Yeah, this thread indicates that either you need to download Next Radio app or if you're lucky the supplier sells a Snapdragon variant that has a stock FM Radio app pre-installed:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/help/fm-radio…
I think HK and South American variants have it pre-installed
Has anyone been notified that there phone has been sent yet?
I am still waiting …
I messaged, they said five business days.i paid on the 14th, Tuesday. Not sure if that day counts, so hopefully despatch before Wednesday next week. My cases are on the way..
It's the Sell now, get the stock later model… hopefully mine, too.
Oh, I need to get the case, too.
Any recommendations?
@simonizmaster: I've got the phonebot original leather flip on its way. Search the deals on here, it was 30 bucks
@Robc: I've got the Spigen clear case. turns out the phone already comes with the clear case!
Not yet but got a 5 star feedback so seller must be processing order
Nothing yet anyone else?
My phone was posted today.Got an email with tracking number.
Awesome when did you order
@Regie69: On 13th
@cyclone22: Still waiting on mine ordered on 19th
@Regie69: It took exactly 1 week for mine to arrive, I ordered Friday night and got it next Friday and it came with an included silicone case.
I expect that you would have a tracking number by now so give them an email if you don't.
@Wallace: Yep tracking number today
Estimated delivery:
Mon, 03 Jun - Wed, 05 Jun
@Regie69: That was my estimated delivery too
Once I entered tracking number that's when I realised it was only 2 more days till delivery because we have express delivery:
https://auspost.com.au/using-our-tracking-service
@Wallace: Mines being delivered tomorrow. Went from nothing to 1 day
@Wallace: Arrived today.
Any recomendations for a case?
@Regie69: First, check the black box that houses the sim slot pin and the instruction manual because it hides a clear silicone case.
That was the case with my Snapdragon version so I didn't need to purchase a separate case.
Yep, got a tracking number today.
And an invoice. With abn, so trs is on.
@Robc: Is the TRS 30 days ? or 60 days?
@simonizmaster: 60 days
Mine just arrived, sealed.
Perfect!
Good for you~!
Good buy?
