Do you eat them frozen?
I usually heat them before eating.
There's a microwave just outside the Coles store.
Really? Your Coles has a public microwave? or do you live next door to a Coles?
Really? Your Coles has a public microwave?
No, it's outside Coles.
There's a microwave in the family room opposite Coles in the shopping centre. It's free to use.
There's a small play centre in there too for the kids to use while you're heating the pies…
@jv: Hmm. Now all I’m picturing is someone walking into one of those parent room/toilets and heating up their frozen pie in the microwave used to heat up milk bottles
@SlappersOnly: Now I'm picturing someone eating their heated up pie and carrying around the other three still frozen but the packaging ripped open, pie crumbs falling out.
@Daabido: Now I'm picturing some concerned parents reporting jv for loitering in the family room.
@SlappersOnly: I've used those microwaves a few times for my lunch. Never knew they were there before having a kiddo, it's a really cool little thing to have. Though you do make a good point, I should probably use a plate but eh, what can you do.
@jv: You have the street smarts of a homeless OzBargainer.
@rokufan: lol
@jv: That's not for you to use to heat up your lunch. That's there for parents to heat their baby's bottles and baby food. I have children and it's always irked me when I have to wait to use the microwave in the parents' room because some staff member at the shops is on their lunch break and wants to heat up their leftover lasagne.
@jv: There's also no signs saying you can't spit in people's food while walking through the food court but that doesn't mean you can.
no signs saying you can't spit in people's food while walking through the food court
That's actually against the law.
this is very cheap for a hot pie on the go
btw you can buy a pack of 6 frozen pies for $3.50 at coles to :)
Coles brand pies are Offal
I thought Pi Day was March 14? Or is that only in the US where they can't seem to use any type of units correctly? If so, I guess today is as close as we're going to get…
3rd of December is closer. Well, 3rd of any month after April is closer than today.
Closest would be 31 May.
3.14 - 3.12 = 0.02
3.14 - 3.04 = 0.10
3.1416 - 3.15 = 0.0084
I thought Pi Day was March 14?
That's only for those using the Gregorian calendar
Tomorrow I will start to use a brand new calendar. it's not too often you can say that.

Lunch sorted 👍🏿
Good thing they set a limit of five, otherwise I might go overboard in eating slightly warmed pies.
I remember when my friend told me she does burlesque and explained it to me. When she told me she puts pasties on her nipples, I was very confused.
$2 pie and $2 chocolate milk from the servo.. Prices virtually unheard of since the early 90's when I was a kid.
Whats the $2 chocolate milk?
The 500ml Dare Ice Coffees are $2 through the 7-11 app at the moment. Maybe there's a choc variety there?
I'm pretty sure most stores have a small microwave you can use to heat your pies. Atleast the stores I've seen out west do anyway
Get ready for the they're still heating up excuse
Or the we’re out of stock excuse.
I'd prefer a sandwich personally.

New Chicken and Leek pie is nice. Lots of chicken in it too. Normally pies are mostly gravy.
Does anybody know whether the pasties are vegan? They look like they might be.
Does anybody know whether the pasties are vegan?
I'm guessing the people that make them know.
Do they actually have burritos there? I've never seen them, what are they like?
There's one with pulled pork which is pretty standard and there's one with egg and bacon which seems to be particularly hated. It's basically sloppy watery egg with some bacon pieces wrapped in a burrito. Try the pulled pork one, it's probably worth the price.
Seems very strange to mention a limit. I do not see why anyone would really be buying more than 5 individually ( because once you buy more than 2 or 3, then it becomes cheaper to buy at the supermarket - and anything you do buy has to be eaten as one meal, or kept for reheating later ( in which case, you would have been better buying from the supermarket ) ).
Grab em for the whole workplace or any social gathering.
More convenient (and completely different range) than the supermarket.
No more peri peri chicken!! Deal breaker
Could not find even 1 burrito at 9 AM.
I brought in my lunch today but i'll probably grab a couple of pies too. All part of the fun when you're a jolly fat bastard. :)
problem is they're all gone by now.
I'm feeling lucky!
I doubt it.
As commented below, the whole pie warmer shelf was full for Minty.
Picked up couple of spinach rolls at 10.30am. They will be sold out by lunch time.
1pm Elizabeth street, Sydney. Scored one chunky meat pie and the pie warmer/oven whatever was full, every option was available.
The guy at the counter said 'just the one'? Told you I was fat.
I tried the chunky meat pie for $2, which seems to retail at $5.
IMO, the pie taste like <poop>. It's a crime to sell this at $5 ea.
I tried the slow cooked meat pie. It was good quality IMO
