    For those trying it now
This offer commences at 10.00 (AEDT) on 30 April 2019 and ends at 23.59 (AEDT) on 8 May 2019

  • Kindle out of stock

  • Just noticed no pickup option? How long does it usually take to deliver? Leaving Friday from Brisbane

  • +8

Wow, XM3 bumped up to $549…lmao.

    • +1

More like Pumped to $549 😂

    • That was set by Sony, not Myer

      • Isn't RRP only $499? and why would the price be set by Sony if it's a Myer sale??

EDIT: Just saw RRP at $549.95…so ridiculous. even the overpriced JB is selling for 399 lol

        • +2

Jb isn't the cheapest physical store for electronics?

          • +1

@Bargainbeth: lol no. You can almost always find better deals at CentreCom, MSY, PCCG, etc.

            • @foo4542: Haha, nooby me then! Thanks! I don't often buy computers and those things, I go to jb when I want to get a phone/camera device. Forgot about msy. Once bought a laptop from msy (around 8 years ago). Acquaintance worked there and recommended a laptop. It had heaps of problems, physical and with its functioning. It was 6 months in, asked what could I do, acq goes "its been 6 months so we can't do anything". Was too lazy so just copped it on the chin, but haven't bought from there again.

Jb is super easy to deal with when I need a refund or repair on a defected product. Would you say the service at those stores is as good when you have trouble with the products?

  • -1

Would David Jones price match in store?

    • +1

      No

      • -1

So even Myer's physical stores won't match its eBay store?

        • +4

I dont think so. General rule for pricematching, marketplaces like eBay and Amazon and the use of discount codes are not something retailers would match.

As far as I know, with these sort of.promotions, the discount is shouldered by eBay themselves so I'd say unlikely they will.

          • @ozchobie: The discount for store specific promotions is covered by both eBay and the store.

          • @ozchobie: It's upto the retailer's discretion really, I've had Harvey Norman price match Good Guys eBay store for a TV during a 20% off sale. If in doubt ring up the store or negotiate, simple.

  • +11

So that air fryer I bought for $312something last week can now be had for $272, or $222 after cashback fml
Edit nvm they just jacked the price up to $449 and it's out of stock!

    • Who's offering that $50 cashback?

    • +7

Looks like price for most of the things we want are jacked up..
It was $395 for bose qc II now it up for $499.

    • +2

Lol! You literally just got happy cos of a price jack.

  • +19

At what point are we merely advertising for eBay and whichever associated store?

    • +3

Valid argument. This goes to OBZ raison d'être.

  • -1
  • +9

everything is at full rrp or higher .. not much of a discount

    • What's an item above rrp?

  • +2

eBay does it again..another useless code..

    • +1

First post on this thread… Looks like you're a tad early, old mate.

"This offer commences at 10.00 (AEDT) on 30 April 2019 and ends at 23.59 (AEDT) on 8 May 2019"

  • +2

Any bargains? Appears to just be jacked up prices.

    • +1

Cheers mate picked up a Q2000 and the breakfast plate for $379.16 free delivery

    • I can’t see them could you kindly send a link thanks

  • +5

why are people upvoting for? sheesh

    • -3

Sorry - was over-excited, thinking that 20% off RRP on certain goods may not be too bad.

    • -3

Because a lot of Myer staff clicked + to make it seem it’s a great sale?

  • +9

Can we please stop falsely advertising sales or discounts on behalf of ebay if it's not really on sale.

A lot of the time, the prices are jacked up to RRP or higher than RRP that any false discount code is rendered useless.

I keep seeing these ebay discounts getting upvoted when it's all false advertising.

  • +1

OP has included a link to the fine print, which clearly a few posters here haven't bothered to read. Specifically, point 2.

    https://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/promomyer

In other words, untie the knickers, the promo period hasn't started yet.

  • +5

    Yeah, nah

The price jacking is real. I was eyeing Sunbream Pressure cooker which was around $120 - now it's up to $140 and with 20% off, brings it back to the same price before the jacking.

      • +2

        source?

      • +2

What? Stores set their own prices, unless you're privy to something we aren't.

      • -1

Regardless, I've been searching for prices and kept my eye out only in the last week. Suddenly, the price has increased. I've decided not to neg or upvote because there are bargains that others have found. I personally have not, just wanted to comment so people can do their research before buying.

      • downvoted because you're a numpty

  • -3

Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again??? Not blaming op at all, just wondering if something screwy going on with the store

  • Ugh wanted to grab an Apple TV - none in stock :(

    • Either price jack or just put it out of stock.

    • yeah, Myers doesn't sell Apple stuff anymore.

      • +1

Looks like I am waiting for a 20% good guys ebay sale :P - Only to have "Excludes Apple products" lol

  • +2

Still not working, it's 10:03am now

    • +1

Good to see I'm not the only one with the issue

  • +1

it is just me or anyone else getting the same error, "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

  • +2

    yeh not working yet.

  • +1

    Working now

  • This is great. Bose Revolve+ for $311.20 (with the 20% discount) is a bit more manageable on the wallet.

  • Dyson V11 Absolute for $959.2 with code. looks like it hasnt been jacked

  • +10

For future reference, if you see a deal you really want before a code is active but worried about price jacking on Ebay then just buy it now and that price will remain the same and you can use the code after it becomes active (I've tried this method in the past and it works).

    • Huh?

      • +1

I knew it would come off confusing, sorry read the comment below

        • Great advice. The timing would be sketchy. After committing to buy, how soon should you pay?

          • @giventofly: Usually you have a few days to pay (around 3) before the seller will send a complaint to Ebay about you not paying for the item. However even then you can still pay after they have opened the complaint to ebay

EDIT: Also simply adding to the cart doesn't work. You have to commit to buying the item

    • +2

Do you mean commit to buy on eBay, then pay with PayPal later, using the code?

      • +2

        Yes.

I did this with one of the Xiaomi robot vaccum. I'm glad I did because they did jack up the price but I ended up paying the original price + using the discount code

    • +1

Genius. Thanks, will be using this

    • How? When I click Buy Now you always have to enter payment details on the site.

  • bought some lego over the weekend during myer ebay discount + 10% off ebay. some of them are back at normal price, some of them are still at discount price hence 20% off better (whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?)

  • -1

    Price jacking :(

  • +2

Thanks OP. Just bought a $299.00 BluRay Player while last month was just $249.00

  • +1

    Good OP. Bad Myer.

  • -1

So, basically only useful for items that never really go below RRP…

  • +2

    No Chromecast 3 :(
Selling for $59 on their own website, but couldn't find it on ebay store

  • +7

There is no price jacking… the sale over the weekend (super weekend) simply ended. For myer sales, they usually begin on Thursday (rarely), Friday (often), Saturday and Sunday (95% of the time). So wait till then to use the code in conjunction.

  • Anyone have a beard trimmer recommendation for me?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=myer_store_of…

  • is it possible to use Myer gift cards on eBay?

  • They just jacked up price on UE Boom and Mega Boom listings

  • Prices are jacked up - Bose QC35II is for $499 - after 20% it will be $400—- really? I got one for myself for $319 from Amazon a month ago. Very unethical IMO

  • How do you search a particular ebay store?

< inb4 google it moron, already tried just help out plz

    • +2

You can use filters. But easiest is to just go to the eBay store you want and use the search at the top to search that store only.

      • Helpful, thank you

  • +2

    https://www.ebay.com.au/str/myerstoreofficial

Some great prices before , neg guys no clues or one show ponies :)

Hint some still there hidden in the 30k of items .

  • -1

Got some Lego, thanks. Some decent prices on already reduced Lego City and Lego Movie.

Also, the store search seems broken on mobile, at least Chrome. Searching for "Lego" returns only a handful of sets. If running in desktop mode, it returns some 200.

  • -1

They price jacked restored last time they did 20% off also.

  • Bought a electric blanket.. just got refunded no explanation.

  • Can you I purchase the following tomorrow - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/455086 - and then use that gift card to buy something from this deal?

  • Some of these prices are ridiculous. Was looking at Oral-B, but with 20% off RRP the prices are still laughable.
